the 1/16th T130 you can find on Ebay - i helped him with reference pics. he also does a proper T13E1 even with casting marks.
the T130 would just need the leading edge of the pad scuffed off a little
Jacques Duquette - just search “1/16 T130 track” and you will see Ebay link (wont let me add here)
he has scaled it to fit existing sprockets
compered to kit track
he added a wash to show cast marks on steel and pad
he also does T130E1 links you can see all the cast marks - different manufacturers have different markings
i have a set of each and they are printed very well (have not started my kit yet)

EDIT: - this is a list i think of all track types used on the M113 over time.
there are a few that bring some out
this one is Microcosmos and looks good for 1/35 (hard to get al details spot on in that size)
they did get reference pics from me for the 3D printed all in one tracks (wheels and track are all in one piece) and they did the correct hubs to go with track and made corrections to links.
they do for Tamiya and Academy but could scale if needed to fit other brand kits - they are on Facebook and you can message them.
they also do T130E1
they are even doing Soucy Tracks
and Diehl 513 track (had slots for the sprocket teeth to lock into)
and Diehl 213 which even has the little hole the ice cleat spikes would lock into. the connectors look more similar to the old Sherman Ducksbills
looks like they have all in one and workable versions of each
EDIT: one of the last link types used on some M113’s is T150 links. is similar to Diehl but has a different pad shape and connectors - these are from Fat Frog at Hobby Easy

I’ve purchased several different sets of the Micro Cosmos M113 tracks, and they are all excellent quality and easy to assemble. Highly recommended.

I’m back at work now but i managed to give the interior a blast of matt white car primer paint.
i plan to give the interior a coat of tamiya cockpit green mixed with some flat white. it’s probably not the correct colour but most of the troop compartment won’t be visible anyway.

ok, the decals have been added, i have painted the seats nato black and the fire extinguisher and clear varnished the decals to seal them.
nxt i will use gun metal to paint the floor with some aluminium high lights, followed by some oil washes and pigments to suggest dirt.
the ARVN probably lined the floor with sandbags but i don’t have any pictorial proof and you wont be able to see the interior much anyway so i am not to concerned.
if anyone has pictures of ARVN M113s with sandbags on the interior could you let me know, thanks.

I think the bench seats should have a black cushion on them similar to the drivers/tc seats

i have seen it on US versions but I’m not sure for ARVN I have seen those side wall seats painted black as well as olive green and have been left the same colour as the interior, so it’s a bit of a guessing game. hence why i am looking for actual colour photographs from that time period but 90% of the interior will not be seen so I’m not going to get to hung up on it.

So on to the markings and the rearing … whatever it is.
Ive got a little cricut so drew out the numbers and thing and cut them out of frisket film
Then on the model and masked up
They dont look too bad. I think the 626 is a little to large but itll do for this

different countries at different times used different colour seat padding for the bench seats i have seen black, brown and green of various shades used, a lot were a more olive green colour though.
@Klaus-Adler move your drivers display panel up higher as Tamiya show it way to low, should be just under the periscopes inside (see pic at bottom)

Now that I have the Tulsa Figure Show and the OKC AMPS/IPMS show behind me, now I can start on my build for this group build. Since I need an ACAV for a diorama depicting an incident a friend of mine had with MPs at Long Binh, I will build the Tamiya ACAV kit. Since the ramp will be closed and there will be figures in the drivers hatch and in the gun tub as well as dudes riding on the top, I am not going to put too much effort into the interior since so little of it will be visible. I will be using tracks, roadwheels, drive sprockets, and idler wheels in a one piece offering from 3D Microcosmos. Hopefully that will save time so I can get this done by the deadline.

i have painted the floor section and weathered it with pigments which appears over done in the picture below but it’s not that extreme.
i also had the ARVN decals which have now arrived.
this should give an idea of how much of the interior is actually visible when i add some of the figures.

Progress on the AHHQ M113 continues. Still working and weathering all over including the interior so I havent fixed the top on yet. ACAV parts still to weather obviously but I’m super impressed with Citadels Agrellan Earth texture and Flory models Sand washes as it builds up nicely over each other, add to that the Revell weathering set pastels I have had for ever.
One thing I’m unsure is whether to fix the stowage with shovel on the front or leave it off before I finalise and tie down the stowage finally. Wondering what peoples thoughts are on this?
Hoping to set on a mini.. (if anything 1/16th can be classed as mini!) dio base with the tailgate propped on gas cans and a couple of figures. I’m trying to get this to a point of completeness before the AHHQ 1/16th M3 arrives.
