Good show, James. You can clearly see the differences between the V2 and V3 turrets… About that little piece thats broken off, that’s rough
It looks like something that had a round guard piece - taillight assembly maybe? I’ve seen 3D printed barrel ends but it’s not that.
That was my first thought as well but the tail light guards don’t have slots spaced 90 degrees apart which is what I think I’m seeing with the crushed part. Some others have posted about receiving their kits so maybe they can enlighten us.
you got me there, bud. Without the manual to go through the entirety on assembly, I have zero clue.
Looks like the .50 cal muzzle, judging by photos of the V3
Yeah, just found it after Nikos pointed it out. The part is saved!
Just the barriers around it got broken.
Its the flash supressor for the M2
Is the mine protection kit not part of the base Sep v.3 package like it is for the v.2?
Any pictures of the relocated CROWS from atop the gunners sight to the center of the turret? Looks like RFM gives that as an option, but haven’t seen it IRL.
Hmmm, could that be a stowed position of some sort? For transporting or air loading?
Now that James put out what’s in the box on the SEP v3 kit. I’ll show what’s in the box on the SEP v2 kit.
Let’s start.
Here’s the full contents of the box.
SPRUE A
Upper hull and engine deck cover. Common part amongst all the kits.
SPRUE B
Side skirts without the TUSK ERA mounting, along with other elements of the hull and Commander cupola protection.
SPRUE C
Road wheels, drive sprockets suspension, tie downs, mud scrapers, and more small parts.
SPRUE D
Turret, rear exhaust and rear bustle rack. The turret halves on the SEP v3 is the element that is different from the SEP v2 Sprue, everything else is the same.
SPRUE E
Turret parts including the commander’s cupola, CITV, loaders hatch, gunner sights, and Army specific smoke launchers. You can see this Sprue has the cupola for the earlier M1A1, along with the plate that covers the spot where the CITV is on the M1A2.
SPRUE F
Another common parts tree. This one has the driver’s hatch, front fenders, blast panels and the main gun, with the breech. It also includes a large tow bar that can be attached to the front on the tank.
SPRUE J
This is the TUSK I/II parts, side skirts with the mounting point for the ERA Blocks, TUSK cupolas for the loader and commander hatches.
SPRUE M
Tracks. 1-piece sections for top and bottom and info tracks elsewhere. Along with the center guide horn, which are skeletonized.
SPRUE O
common on all the kits,
This one has the .50 caliber MG, along with the dunnage; Jerry cans, water cans, coolers, water jugs and ammo cans.
SPRUE S
SEP v2 components. Mainly the CROWS turret, DUKE antenna, blast panel on the loader’s hatch, MILES system and other anten
Clear Sprue for all the glass and periscopes, along with the clear hubs on the wheels and a lot of clear bottles for the coolers.
And of course, the lower hull tub, which is common for all the kits.
Lastly, the PE sheet and the decal sheet.
As a bonus, I acquired the extra sprues from the 3-in-1 SEP TUSK kit (RM-5004) to add the interior to my SEP v2
SPRUE Z
The PE sheet that has the shields that go around the turbine engine.
SPRUE G
Turret interior components, along with the driver’s station, fuel cells and parts for the engine.
SPRUE N
Parts for the rear turret interior, mainly the Ammunition compartment, radios and electronics.
SPRUE P
The pieces for the AGP-1200 turbine engine and engine deck interior.
I think that is what they are showing as the CROWS does fold to the front left, where the rubber bump-stop and strap is below.
You can see the hinge here.
You can see it folded for transport here.
Nice closeup of the LPRCWS. that’ll help a ton in detailing it.
the mine protection part is part of the M1150 Assault Breacher
