I went through my kit and the kit doesn’t come with the belly plate. Is not present in the manual.

The base of the CROWS mount depicted in the kit, and in many of the photos, seems to a thick cylinder without a spring or hinge to tilt it over. Also, the third photo in post #3 shows the mount sitting upright in the center of the turret and not attached to the bracket over the gunners sight. I’m guessing the horseshoe shape on the top of the V3 turret is for attaching the mount when it’s removed from the atop the gunner’s sight?

I know that pics are highly subjected to ambient lighting but to me, that brown is too “brown” and not enough “violet”.

I believe you’re correct, the low profile CROWS doesn’t fold over but rather is unbolted from the top of the GPS for transport.

From what i see in the pics my guess on the OD would either be green drab FS34086 or US Helo drab or even XF-74 JGSDF OD

Army helo drab, like on the AH-64, seems too gray to me, looking at the pictures of the V3s

That depends on which Helo Drab you use.

The two UH-60s below are painted Helo Drab using Testors Model Master paints (I know, OOP now). The left is enamel and the right is acrylic; same Helo Drab color, two different types of paint.

Ak has US ARMY helo drab too

I think im gettling closer and in fact i think XF-51 is alomse spot on

I did a test on my excess SEP V.2 turret Tamiya XF_51 Kahki Drab

A clamp of sort to lock/secure the rear side skirt into place when folded forward.

My eye (from the photo) thinks a hint of green is needed with the Brown Violet. Maybe…? The real deal would be helpful to compare it to. The XF 51 looks darn close.

So… the actual SEP 3 does not come with a belly plate?

No the belly plate is part of TUSK and added as needed, just like the hull and turret ERA blocks and tiles.
