Isn’t that an ejectormark on the top box?

Yes it is. I’ll hit it with some liquid putty shortly.

Construction completed. The PE fuel drum racks were a PITA to mount. No locator guides. Mk1 eyeballed them as best as I could. Really nice kit. No issues except the fuel drum racks. Fair amount of PE overall much of it tiny but I managed them without too much trouble. Maybe I finally got the hang of it after 6 decades.

Up next some primer to cover the PE then paint. Thanks for looking.

I’m a T55 affectionate. Built my share of MiniArt offerings. The RFM kit has been moved to the top of my want list.

Working on adding small parts & PE parts…

Construction of my BTM-3 is close to 95%:

I’ve built some features behind the grille and am currently building the radiator(the main omission of the kit),
While looking forward to the delivery of 5m 2x1.5 mm blackened chain-Trumpeter’s S type blackened chain is too small and pain for the eyes to work with…

And I’m also looking forward to some warmer temperatures(promissed for next week) as I need to spray each sub assembly before final assembly.

Cheers,
Angel

Wow, some great builds going on here, I still have some things to clear off the bench before I start but I’m leaning towards this if allowed. I can see it staring at me from the stash where it’s been since the kit first came out.

I do have a question for the T-34 experts out there, which in your opinion is the best T-34 1941 kit, accuracy and ease of build being the main considerations? Oh and no interior.
Already have a AFV Club T-34/85 and a Miniart T-34/85M

was it actually built? I think I had said it had to be actually built. (I think I heard there will be another best tank that never was campaign coming)

3 were built in 1959 and one still exists at Kubinka, the others being scraped.

Link to a Facebook video of the survivor restored to running condition. note I don’t do Facebook so can only share a link to the page not the actual video.

I’ll allow it!

Thanks Phil, I’ll start looking at any AM parts I may need for this and look for a base.

Luciano,

Re your Object 279, should, should you not need your accompanying figure in the NBC suit, I will quite happily take him off your hands(!)

I have to say hats off to the team that got the monster back to running condition; doesn’t it make a difference? Coming to life in that way - I mean - wow! And then some.

Oh dear - I can feel myself wanting to get one now and I really don’t want to go down the rabbit-hole of experimental armour (technically too late with my Object 450 and the Chrysler TV-8!)

Brian oh you got me  Ha, Ha, NOT A CHANCE.

I’m looking at the re-release of this kit as it comes with a different NBC clad figure and thinking to myself if I can get away with buying another just for the figure. The only other NBC figures are both from Russian based companies that I have found on Scalemates.

The tall fuel box hardpoints should be used with the box staying vertically on the hull. For more details you could take a look at T-34 STZ model 1941 Summer

Doesn’t look that way on Dragon’s instructions for the Leningrad T-34 STZ 1941. I may have overlooked something etc but it’s pretty irrelevant for me.
