Made in the USSR

All I can see is that monster punching through buildings in order to open the way through Berlin as the Red Army gets payback for Stalingrad.

Finished. To recap, it’s the RFM T80U OOB. No issues. Easy build. Tracks are indy workable. They require some time and patience but are nicely detailed. Painted with custom mixed Tamiya acrylic. In addition to an overall wash, pinwash, and dry brushing, there are several layers of mud and dirt on the lower hull and srveral shades of light dirt and dust AB over the entire vehicle. Thanks for looking.

Trumpeter KV-1 Model 1942 Heavy Cast Turret

This one surprised me. It was a pretty fun build. No significant trouble. All kit parts are assembled and ready for paint.

Edit: Just remembered something about the tool box needing a strap. Will look at some pictures and maybe add that.

Thanks for all the kind replies. I like to go for different/unusual colors. Get rather tired of seeing the same old “standard” colors. You can stretch things a bit more with modern stuff. Kind of hard to imagine a Tiger I in a similar colors. The Germans did come out with some pretty interesting patterns however. Thanks again to all.

Thanks. I’ve seen those and other similar. Most if not all are derelicts, or non operational vehicles in parks. While they are certainly different I prefer to do vehicles that are in service.

Hello Joachim, I mentioned it within my first post here that I will make a diorama as I have the whole crew for it from Live Resin. The crew is operating this gun in firing mode, so a transportation diorama was no option for me. I will choose a gun emplacement diorama from Great north roads but I will need to enlarge it a bit due to the amount of figures

bolshoje spasiba Salekhard for your answer and the pictures . Looks like then I will display a gun in plain 4B0. Maybe a kyrillic slogan at the gun barrel?!

Cheers

I couldn’t find any inscription on this cannon. There isn’t much space there. But for example, there are photos of the model with an inscription and it looks natural.

I think that almost any patriotic inscriptions of that period, including for tanks, can be used on the gun. And for tanks there are a lot of decals.
You can make stars on the barrel, like on this Soviet stamp.

The best thing is to manage to sign the shells.

The text: “Personally - to Hitler - to Berlin - along the Reichstag”. But I didn’t find such decals.

Great builds one and all. I want to join this campaign a month or two down the line after I get some other things out of the way. This is the first campaign I’ve been involved in since Dec. 2019 on the old site, so this is exciting.

I have narrowed the selection down to four: Bronco’s KV-85, Trumpeter’s early JS-2 or T-80BV and Zvezda’s SU-100 (new tool from 2018) - I’m leaning more towards one of the first two.

Again, excellent work, everybody!

The Mirage T-26 is assembled as well.
It is a $10-kit and you get what you pay for. It looks T-26-ish, though.

I’ve built all chain sets for all digging baskets of my BTM-3 working tool:

64 chain lengths, each with 2 rings- I won’t stand such torture again…

Cheers,
