It does mention at the top of the “Latest” list it is in “read-only” mode, but apparently that isn’t being read.
I completed Zvezda 1/48 LaGG-3-66. It was easy to build, since I like LaGG plane.
But painting the aircrafts are very hard for me. How much practice does it take to improve my painting skills?![]()
Well. My build is complete, minus decals. Sadly, I had a death in the family, so I’m out of town for a bit while handling family matters I’ll be returning home next weekend and apply decals to the kit to finally complete it and end this one on a positive note.
Sorry for your loss.
Thanks. She had a full life and got to see three grandchildren before she passed away.
I have a rule for myself: if I can’t read the words on the stencils, they don’t get applied.
What a beast you have there Bert! Very much enjoyed your build of this with the extra detailing, the careful painting and weathering and the figs which help to show off the size of it.
That one is massive!!! Love it!
I should start following your policy ![]()
Magnificent, the results are worth the considerable effort you put into it!

That’ a lot of detail for such a tiny model. Did you paint the instrument panel or was it a decal?
Paul
Looking fantastic. I love the way you are creating the FL version from parts of the others. I have a number of Eduard Mig-21’s in the stash, plus a couple of Fujimi. I really like the earlier PF/PFM/FL versions. Might have to do myself an FL one day! I’m currently finishing a Fujimi Bis in Finnish markings.
Bench time. Wow.
Needs some touch up on the external paint after glueing all the parts together. Then weather the internal compartment, put on the back plate, touch up, and weather the hull.
Nice to build a Tamiya kit….
But that is a lot of track links….
Hi Folks,
I had no chance to work on the model I opted for this campaign this year so far as I had many major issues in my professional life.
Although I followed you works and being on annual leave in the recent days, I did my best attempts to complete the campaign with the BMP-1.

This is the status after 15 hours of hard works (mostly in the evenings) I spent this week. I hope that I can do a great progress on the following days and will post photos about the kit.
Keep my finger crossed (when not cutting the sprue).
Tamás
Looking forward to see that BMP-1 !!!
The instruments are a decal. But all the detail bits are just straight from the box. This is a great little kit so far!
