It is on some, mainly Mk3. I guess it depends on the area of deployment/unit etc.
I’m not sure it was always present anyway. Certainly model manufacturers don’t always include that marking option on the versions they produce.
These decals from AK IDF Accessories include those for Jerry Cans (circled), but it would be helpful if anyone knew the Hebrew translation for those decals was?

A26 = water A23 = water (stencil)
A25 = gasoline A22 = gasoline (stencil)
got no clue for A24/27…

Thats a strange picture, the Merk in the foregoround appears to be significantly compressed in terms of its perspective whilst the Merk in the background is in normal perspective.
