Modelling armour in Ukraine crisis

There are some other Youtube videos who claim to show Russian soldiers “liberating” food from stores,
others show soldiers complaining or getting food.

I don’t care what condition they’re in… as long as the Russians have hightailed it out of there.

Like Sadam, invade with your 2nd echelon letting them take the brunt. Keep your top tier in reserve for the knock out punch.

I do not see the Z on those two T72’s.

Well, it seems they were training for quite some time in the border areas with Ukraine and this was during the winter. Plus they are now operating at a (presumably) much higher tempo still during the winter/spring bad weather so I would expect them to look pretty bad. You could be right about 2nd Echelon forces of course- could also be a bit of both of these things.

Thankfully, that knock out punch never happened. Instead his elite troops tried surrendering to A-10’s flying overhead.

I have the old Skif BMD-1 w/ some PE, I was thinking of building.

I know the Ukraine military used it, have few pics, but their old.
Anybody seen any recent?

Not sure what type of Russian truck it was but the Ukrainian’s :ukraine: sure :fire: to the ground.

Here’s a picture from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence website. Maybe it’s more recent…

With all the green grass and leaves on the trees, at most recent that photo would be from before last autumn.

there is a video of a bunch of Russian soldiers seeking cover in what looks to be a large garage or workshop. They were all bitching about no food and everything they wore was wet (seen and heard that bitch before). No way to get dry. Looks like the morale has gone into the basement of Hades. These guys all looked to be light infantry, and it won’t get better for them

don’t tell the U.S. that as we used C-Rats that predated the Korean War! Then we got the modern stuff that was from the mid to late 1950’s. Even tins for the mess hall were often six to eight years old! Course folks in the rear and Field Officers never had to eat that garbage unless they did by choice.

Your Army travels on it’s stomach, and it should be a rule that everybody eat the same thing

Which of the trumpeter T-64, T-72 and T-80 kits are appropriate for the invasion? I’m not that great at identifying the different versions

@JC212 it depends which side you are interested in, you can’t go to wrong with a T72-B3 but I’m not an expert.

Same thing goes for gear/clothing. Guys on the line should always get first dibs.

That’s very similar to the Kamaz 5350 that I’m building in my Army of “Z” thread. It is a slightly earlier variant - you can tell by the older style air intake. The bed is slightly different as well, but not much.
It also looks civilian due to the aerodynamic bit on the top of the cab.
