Doesn’t it say something about how we are get sucked into believing our perceptions? Again! After the wall came down in 1990 the west were aghast at how poorly much of the Soviet equipment was built. How over rated it was. Now 30 years later it seems nothing has changed. The Russians still can’t get it ‘right’.

The sad thing is our ‘intelligence’ hasn’t got it right either. And how do those same ‘intelligence’ folk asses China?

Yet the Ukraine did ok with Russian built stuff. So can we assume that it’s the ‘who’ and not the ‘what’ that makes the difference? Add the ‘who’ and western ‘what’ and the end result doesn’t look promising for Russia.

The diorama ideas are now spilling out of my poor brain. Question - who makes the ‘best’ T90 interior kit? I have to build a burnt one with the turret half off facing the wrong way. No hiding the interior details.

I believe only Amusing Hobby makes one with a full interior. It looks very nice as well.

They also do a couple of T-72s (T-72AV and T-72M1) with full interiors too.

I can vouch for their T72 kit. Nice

More variations in equipment to model - Polish Ar’s, MoGs or BoGs or something like that.

When you learned you weapon handling skills from CoD.
Draw up on that grip, that’s a stable position…

I hope those red arrows are meant to indicate his support hand is way too far back. It should be as far forward as the handguards allow. A failing in the AK14 design by the way.

This guy had very poor fundamentals. Fortunately I was able to get to him in time before someone in his unit (A Chinook unit) “fixed” him.

interesting article showing the inside of a T-80 Russian tank, might be useful for interior detailing

Actually, it did okay with the Russian built stuff it had already, the training it had received from some NATO ‘advisors’, local knowledge and the zeal of a nation defending itself.

Then it did really much better with western supplied weapons.

Some of it is the ‘who’, and some has been the ‘what’.

I guess it’s a GROT C16 FB-M1 5.56 mm assault rifle manufactured by the Polish company Fabryka Broni Łucznik.

variants

OK I skipped the T90 and just purchased the T-72s by Amusing Hobby. So if it’s crap I’ll blame you guys.

So a build with a lot of damage. Turret blown off. What a perfect way to expose the interior of a tank. Now should there be body parts in there or that pushing it tooooooo far?
