I get mixed up, I think i remmeber seeing a picture once of some newer generation MBT that had a fully automatic turret and therefore the crew was basically two people. This is obviously a different vehicle all together, but will no doubt be soon found to be as rubbish as its predecessors.
Armata, not in Ukraine yet.
Heard some rumor it did not pass the test in Syria.
Shhh… It’s only gossip
Following on my earlier comment about the G6, in 2019 at Alkantpan Test Range in South Africa the Panzerhaubitze 2000 which has a firing range of 67km, was tested alongside the G6 which fired out to a range of 76km.
The G6 has a max road speed of 90 - 100km/h and an operational range of 700km, this redefines the “shoot n scoot” doctrine and is not tied to a long refueling chain.
I’m not sure if the Russian arty has that kind of firing, operational range and maneuverability without having to resort to cruise missiles.
This makes for interesting reading: PzH 2000 | Modern weapons
A video with this frame is shown on the Russian social network under the title “Fighters of the Russian Guard with the captured ACS 2S3 “Akatsiya”.” I think this is not from missiles at all, but to install a camouflage net. By the way, she hangs on this design.
Yes, you get mixed up.
Everyone please … can we try and keep this thread on track with info/images and the such about vehicles and equipment used in the Ukraine invasion. I am sure the MODs have better things to do than keep moving individual posts that take side swipes at people. Just a thought ??? The very occasional funny (not offensive remark) remark is ok I guess and people dont mind those, but when it develops into a tit for tat, then it takes the fun and interest out of this otherwise very informative thread…
That’s not a UD as can be seen by the snorkel gear on the back of the turret, it is a U
When Thor Heyerdahl with an international team sailed for 2 months on the papyrus boat Ra in 1969, of all Russian words, only curses were in demand. I am Russian, but here I do without rude words. Maybe the rest will use technical terms, not swear words.
it’s simple people, just post some damn pictures of Ukraine/Russian hardware involved in the war in Ukraine be it real or models.
Can you enlighten the lesser informed among us? What is it for then, anti sniper netting?
It might be an ill constructed rocket screen, its unlikely to work in that respect, or it could even be a screen to aid net camouflage - so that it can be quickly draped and not retain the absolute profile of the vehicle.
