Something to model a key player (victim?) of this war is coming up:
The Ukrainians have been using modified buggies too.
They have lost one as well, which has an ‘Ireland’ sticker on it- I’m wondering whether it was either bought from Ireland or was being used by some of the Irish guys in the Legion.
Interesting idea for a diorama.
Is that a projectile hole in the right front ??
If the ‘Z’ on the Russian vehicles is meant to allow for rapid identification to prevent fratricide, I can’t help but think that with the way things appear to be going, if I were a Russian tank commander or vehicle driver the first thing I would do in country is paint over the damned Z. Getting shot by other Russians would appear to be about the last thing they need to be worried over.
Which is ironically what would almost certainly happen if you 'painted over your ‘Z’" and got found out…
It seems that its mainly innocent civilians that need to worry about being shot by Russians.
Besides, the Russians have ditched the armoured warfare aspect of this invasion a while ago, they’ve resorted to basically flattening whole districts with artillery in their time old tradition because they’re getting their backsides handed to them in confrontational battle.
One of the vehicles featured in the video above is this disabled guntruck I’ve already posted a picture of…

these look to me like t-72’s?,…my question is see the track links on the first tank compared to 2nd and third,my meng kits the t-72 and t-90 have the first style of links, was this a upgrade to russian tanks?,also does anybody know who stocks masterclub/fruil track kits for these tanks?,im runnung out of resources, thanks!
@khouli That was meant entirely tongue in cheek to suggest that the nice big Z certainly must make it easy for the Ukrainians to ID their targets. Not a serious suggestion for battlefield application…
That wasn’t what I meant at all, but it doesn’t matter
I guess so…

Interesting though puzzling that the Russians who claim to be fighting Ukrainian nazis would have a Don Cossack unit.
According to Wikipedia, “Since 2014, members of Don Cossacks have participated in the war in Eastern Ukraine as independent volunteers for the pro-Russian Donbass militias. Reportedly several military formations were formed though most of these groups were subsequently disbanded and integrated into the armed forces of the DPR and LPR”

My point was regarding WW2 lineage of the Don Cossack military force. Their WW2 predecessors were Russians fighting along side the Germans against Russia.
Does seem odd, especially considering the forced repatriation of thousands of Don Cossacks after WWII and their subsequent fate under Stalin.
