Hello, has any ukrainian leopard been photographed with an arrow? I plan to turn my revell leopard 2A6 in a “what if netherland sent leopard 2 to ukraine” since it’ll be this variant. The decals will be useful for other kits I think.
Thanks for your answers!
I guess no leopard 2 has been photographed with the arrowso far. I wonder why the white square with a cross appeared too.
Thanks for your answers!
Here is something a little out of the ordinary since everyone is building a T64,T72,T90 and everything else so i decided to do something a bit different a Ukrainian M88A1 shes still a work progress though
Interesting detail in that video , the engine on the tank keeps running even when it’s in the water.Smoke’s separate from the turret fire and looks like it’s coming from the exhaust.
Looks like it is coming along nicely. Good job on the digi-camo and markings.
I can only imagine what the crew went through between the intersection and the river.
I’m not going to say Challenger 2 is a panacea for Ukraine’s Armed forces, far from it - but most of that appears to be innacurate (at best)
The Challenger 2 was not designed for defensive operations. It is an offensive platform, as are all MBT. It can of course, operate from a defensive position. But that certainly isn’t its rasion d’etre.
As for it’s ‘weak’ spots - the Challenger 2 is a heavily armoured and well protected tank. The turret and hull are protected by second-generation Chobham armour, also known as Dorchester, the details of which are classified (my emphasis) but which is said to have a mass efficiency more than twice that of rolled homogeneous armour against HEAT projectiles. Crew safety was paramount in the design.
Incidentally, the turret specifically was designed with protection in mind. No two are the same. Under the flat veneer, is a multi-angled lattice of Dorchester Armour that ensures no two hits in the same area result in an identical outcome.
All MBT are vulnerable to certain weapons, this article appears to be more heresay than factual. I showed to a mate who works at Vickers and he just laughed.
Why does that motorcycle and sidecar combo look like a WW2 vintage German BMW or Zundapp ?
I don’t think that BTR will be swimming with all that and on Track
Because it’s based on the BMW R71.
I own one - tractor style seats and drum brakes, the way they should be.
The Soviets copied the BMW 1930s era R71 motorcycle and it later became the “Ural”.
