Mountain Problems

Hi Terry,

I think it’s a case of ‘may the farce be with me’ the way the face jokes are going,.

Thanks for the kind words and the suggestions, they’re much appreciated, :slightly_smiling_face:.

Cheers,,

Works every time lol … Cam cream, or dirt mud and a few branches :+1:

Hi Tim,

Hell’s Bells, you’ve managed to find a second bloomin’ face, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:, I’d not seen that one, gggrrrrr, :disappointed: .

As our good friend Erwin says…‘too much time’, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

Cheers,,

Hi all,

Decided I couldn’t live with the face…no, not mine, I’m talking about cliff’s face, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. So have tried to hide it, but I bet ‘Nail Bar Tim’ manages to find one,.

I have also started to give some colour to the cliff face around the waterfall area (see images below).

I’m still sure there’s an eye winking at me, .

Cheers,,

The painting on the left side of it now has really given it a lift. very nice colours and the basic image of the wet area will make it pop once its all there.

Hi John,

Thanks for your kind words and continued support, much appreciated. Hopefully it’ll look better once I’ve given it some dry brushed highlights.

A lot of the ‘black-green’ will be hidden by the waterfall, but I imagined it would be wet and slimy behind…not sure whether it’s accurate, but hey-ho,.

Thanks again, and cheers,,

Dont forget G, depending what time of the year you are going to depict would have different levels of flow ? so winter you would imagine would be heavy and faster, but summer may be alot less and show more of the black/green slimey surface underneath ??

And how much will be still wet… Or dried to a rather bright green, as algae tend to do.

Hi John and Erwin,

Though I had no specific time of year planned…that would be too organised for my way of building, plans! what Plans?…when I started building, I am leaning towards a late winter/early spring feel. So quite wet, maybe mid-thaw, a little bit of snow smattered around to give contrast to all the ‘yellow’.

Left over from the Churchill dio? (is it actually done yet?)

That would be a very nice idea!

Jeez G , you are one prolific builder . You’ve got a lot of irons in the fire and each one’s hot !!

So that’s the guys name in the rock face? Cliff?

Thats so bad Matt, hang your head in shame lol

Better than Rocky

Or Stoney.

Hi Erwin,

Yep, plenty of snowy stuff left over…I could do a winter model railway layout…if I had some track…with the amount I still have, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

Cheers,,

Hi Glenn,

Erwin’s the prolific builder, :slightly_smiling_face:, I’m just someone who struggles to finish of a single build before moving on to the next build,.

Just remember that, if you depict melting snow, the snow on the vegetation remains the longest, whereas on rocks it will melt first…

Hi Matthew, John, Erwin and Ryan,

I knew it was wrong to get you lot started on faces in the mountain, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: …maybe it’s Cliff Hanger, :smirk:.
