My pleasure… It is a notion I picked up myself. Íf we get snow here, it always remains the longest on the lawn… and is first gone on the pavement, unless it was compressed to ice by passing traffic. So some patches of ice would be apporopriate too!
Hi all,
Put some basic colour on the rest of the upper rock face, and also put some depth and shape to the boulders above the arch of the tunnel (see images below).

Hi Erwin,
Don’t get much snow in my part of Cornwall, especially so close to the water, so all advice is much appreciated.
And lol at Stoney Meloney, you’re getting bad pun habits from the others, .

This reminds me of what I once saw when en route to Sarajevo in late winter. I call them ice curtains… The water came out from all over the rocks:
Snow is also few and far between in the part of the Netherlands where I live… once a year, maybe?
Hi Erwin,
The picture of the ‘ice curtains’ is amazing, thanks for sharing, .
In the time I have been down here there has been snow up on the moors, but none where I am in those six years.

It could have been better if it was not taken from a driving car…But since I wasn’t the driver and the guy next to me wouldn’t stop, this was the best I could do.And the fact that this was one of the earliest digital cameras (2002 ) didn’t help either…
G-man, you are a dio machine!! Great scenario and surely great ground work already. You act like you’ve done this before, HA! I love the extension on top with the water entry, awesome. Where do you intend to display this when finished? I’m thinking you have a curio cabinet with tall shelves, lol.
Bookmarked. Ruck Over Bby!
Hi Erwin,
Moving, or not, early tech, or not, it’s still an impressive photograph my friend, .

Hi Ski,
Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated, . Though you give me more credit than deserved, this is only my 5th diorama, but it’s easy when they’re kept small,
.
As for display, alas, no cabinet, once finished it’ll be boxed up and put in the garage to collect dust, .

Hi all,
My first ever attempt at a waterfall, once the cotton wool has solidified I’ll give it a few coats of acrylic water, hopefully it’ll look less fibrous afterwards, .
There are a few stray threads that need hiding, amazing what the camera picks up that the eye doesn’t, .
Cheers, ,

Wow the waterfall looks pretty convincing already. I’ll keep watching for sure. Good luck.
Ditto! I’ve been lurking for a couple days on this thread and it keeps getting better and better! Sad to see you got rid of “Rocky the stoner” Though.
I have the same: pictures alway seem to magnify my errors… Even better dan my optivisor!
The cotton indeed looks pretty convincing already… If more so you will have us running to the loo!!!
Agree with Erwin, the cotton wool looks pretty good in its own right … Can’t wait to see more as it moves along. I think you have also done a great job in making the various flows look realistic G.
Yay! The water’s running! I can just see a soldier scooping up a drink in his helmet lol , terrain features are fun to build, lends itself to your creative side instead of the restrictions of a historical vehicle.
I kinda like the “stringy” look as it replicates the fine offshoots of water seen in a falls. Also the mist and froth, etc that would be seen. Brilliant!

Very nice water effects!
Water works look great.
Now, G-man, “ya killin me Smalls, ya killin me!” Put into storage, YIKES! Buddy, you need a cabinet to display your work. This is model abuse and punishable by super gluing your fingers together for 90 days!
