Operation "Epsom" details

After the front lines of the 12$$ were over run the surviving troops melted back to the south in small groups or singly. Here we see, as the sun is dropping below the cloud cover in the afternoon, a group weaving its’ way back through Cheux, in the center of the Scottish advance zone.

Thanks for the answer but is it so that you have to build the whole operation with all the different battles

I am trying to tell the story of Operation Epsom. Just one Operation in the Normandy campaign.

Ok thanks now I think I understand

Man, that tank and dirt work, pic looks real Jerry, great figs too!

I had to laugh at this one JR, but in a good way. You have the perfect pose with the MG gunner as it is just screaming out, … " Jesus, we’ve been running for miles … this thing weighs a bloody ton … just give me 5 minutes" and the lead guy is thinking … “do we stick to the cover and the long way, or make a break across the open ground …” Fantastic setting on all of them and how they have been posed.

Thanks mate!
In all truthfulness I had these guys down for a different scenario but this one popped into me head at the last second. I think it works better than my original plan.

Amazing work Jerry. The mg man looks dog tired, having to tot that heavy piece.

Yes he does, thanks!
J

Yup - I think sometimes people forget how heavy things are - for instance there’s nothing really “airportable” in the military inventory; all they do is stick handles on it.

C’mon man it’s 75 pounds of “lightweight” equipment! No problem.

I wonder if the VA will accept his back and knee injury claims as service related…

More great photos of your mighty fine work!

Nice to see more angles of this group- the MG gunner, as others have said, is a fantastic piece of work. I also like the alertness of the soldier at the back.

JR , you always seem to apply your FM to the figures so they totally meld with your desired end game on their emotions , stances , interactive postures with the other figs and the scenario they’re in .

Translation : Very Cool !!!
