Hi Biggles,
Thanks for looking in and the encouragement.

Ok mate, having a heart attack is a fair one, so you are off the hook !! Seriously though, take it easy and hope the recovery goes well and you get back to 100% soon.
Hi John,
I was lucky, recognised it for what it was, ambulance and para medics arrived within minutes and straight into hospital for a procedure. Recovery seems to be going well but it will take about 6 weeks or more to get back to normal. A bucket load of pills to take for life which will probably bring their own issues but every day is a winner.
Thanks
Al
Get well soon Alan… And take your time… We will see when you are back on the build…
Not only spectacular work, but also excellent! And interesting!
Many thanks.
Al
Thanks for checking in and the comments.

Thanks Johnny.
Greetings folks, Well after many, many attic searches I gave up om finding the missing parts from the Coal Crane. So I got another kit and replaced them. No doubt the originals will now appear as if by magic, but if so I can always add a ground based addition.
Also got some lobster pots, and crab pots. and some time back I started work on some US troops who will be waiting to board. Not fully back into the build yet but will plod along.
Absolutely fantastic that this is back on the go. I imagine a fair few people will be happy to see it moving forward again mate …
Thanks for looking in Johnny, Not being able to find the original parts of the Coal Crane left me a bit stumpted as it determined where one of the boats would sit. I can plod on now with another problem resolved. I also altered the size of the flag pole/signal mast so it’s more in keeping wiht the scale. All the best. Al
Thanks for the idea.
Don’t know how I managed to miss this back than, and the Vosper, but they both are great topics… love this huge diorama:+1:
Many thanks for looking in. I’ve built two Vospers so far No 234 and the St Nazaire configuration. Both great fun. Space the final frontier , one to go sometime in the future all being well. I have seen some converted to RC models, bit out of my league thoough.
Greetings folks. I was searching through some boxes for some tank figures to use with some current armoured builds I attempting and came across my para box in which I had stored a host of para figures I had built with another project in mind. On the side of the box was writtten Paras and coal crane parts. I started to search through and out came a dingo scout car along wiht all the various figures. Right at the bottom was yes, the orininal stair case for the coal crane and the original crane itself
I may make a small plinth and just ground mount it on either the port or starboard pier, but just another example of Murphy’s law hard at work.
Looks pretty good there mate.
Things are moving slowley but I reserected some figures to be getting on with. These guys when done will be troops waiting to load.
Hats off to you mate … that many figures makes me feel ill just thinking about it …
