I keep an eye on your great built.

I have almost finished the kit number 84521 called jackal 2. It is a too much difficult kit considering the size in my mind. Have to manage with kit issues and mistakes in instructions.

It would have been nice if Accurate Armour had made some update sets for those jackal kits, like they did for the WMIK.

I had wondered why we hadn’t had any updates! I agree with Terminator, AA updates would have been good. I used them on my Meng Husky and it really enhances the kit.

Ok after some issues…with uploading think I’ve cracked it .
The rear ecm table needs replaced as it’s bigger than the kit supplied version…I tried brass rod and aluminium but I didn’t have anything that was scale thickness…so back to good old plastic rod and card .more to come

Some more details…the door retaining latch was modelled and the intake vent needs revising as Comcast kit is fitted above it now.

It’s coming along nicely, I like the DAGR set up and is that a Slingshot mast and antenna you have scratched on the top picture?

Thank you mate . Yes both vehicle based version and portable version on the vehicle.

Looking really nice. Great detailing and scratch building as well.

Looking very good.

What about the gunner during a heavy braking when seated on the turret ring ? I have not seen any belt on all pics I have seen.

The position of the gunner looks horrible in both version 1 and 2. Certainly very uncomfortable and the soldier is a beautiful target !

The vehicle fits in with the British Army’s doctrine on reconnaissance, which is to say reconnaissance by stealth. When I was serving there was a saying that your main weapon were your radios and that if you had to initiate fire at any time then you had f**ked up. There are other vehicles which are better protected such as Panther, Foxhound and Husky, however they are best described as protected patrol vehicles as opposed to recce vehicles. There are no belts so the gunner can drop into the vehicle or perhaps jump clear should it be in danger of rolling over.
Barny are those the kit 40mm ammo boxes and GMG?

No mate the hobby boss weapons are way out of scale … I replaced the GPMG and the GMG this the British version of the GMG from live resin .

The live resin looks a lot better on the detailing front, but the flash hider looks to short to me ( the black one is the live resin yeah ?? )

It is mate it’s still missing the optic mount on the left and as you say the flash hider is marginally shorter. I did a bit of cutting and shutting with the HB version but it way to big and bulky.

You can get away with the HB ones with a little work. Cut out the section behind where the bipod is attached and a bit of shaped styrene on the butt.

Replacing the tube parts of the barrel with brass wire or thinner styrene rod would go that one step further.

The HB one does need a lot of work… The scale would be an issue as well… everything from the gas plug forward is underscale… Half the butts missing, is there a barrel handle in the kit ?
To be fair, I still prefer the Tamiya ones …

I think HB based their FN Mag on this version:

If you look at your HB Landrover Wolf kit John, you will see it has a different mould to the one in this kit fortunately.
