Basecoat painted for my 1/16th 3-D printed figure from James Lee. It is one piece, no assembly required.

I wanted to paint it a different shade than typical military colors. One of the posters here said, β€œWhy not paint it hot pink?” and I thought, β€œSure!” So that’s what I did…I used Vallejo and Citadel Miniatures pink and maroon paints for the basecoat.

I still need to wash, drybrush, shade, detail paint, and ink it.

That is very hot pink! Cool to try something unusual! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hatch cha cha! :construction:

I masked and painted hatch-marks on the Launch Tube Inspection Hatch.

While I was at it, I did a color redo on the Tow Bar and added a few hatch-marks there as well. :paintbrush:

A few updates ago I showed you the Soviet insignia badge from the game that I found online. Getting that started me thinking about how to display the tank.

Eventually I decided a nice Trumpeter display box would be a good fit and would also afford me the opportunity to do some logos.

Yes, you’ve guessed it comrades- we’re going back to the People’s Cricut!

But just prior to mucking about with the Cricut I had done the final assembly and was very pleased that the lights were all working!

It was a real pleasure to finally get it all together and see how it looked.

So, now that the Red March is victorious there remains only two things to do.

Lay me down a beat Nicky.

Altogether now comrades !

Soyuz nerushimyy respublik svobodnykh…

And the second thing is to say thank you for your encouragement and support in the campaign. I really enjoyed this build as it allowed me to basically share two of my hobbies with you, modelling and gaming, and I hope it was enjoyable to follow along. I wish you all the very best in your continuing work in the campaign and my congratulations to those already finished.

I am starting my build - an alternative history build. I am making a Ukrainian F-18. The kit comes with only a few sparrows and sidewinders - despite the box art to the contrary :slightly_smiling_face:

Decals will the Ukrainian pixel style vis greenstuff world decals.

More to follow
