The Boarding Ramp got its stripes. :construction: :construction:

Another one of my scratch-modified sub-assemblies (Refer: Post No. 208). All sorts of masking and painting happened this week! …:paintbrush:

The hydraulics and lower ramp extension are dry-fit at the moment.

Ultimately, the box will fit into the ship’s lower hull and this striped wagging tongue assembly will extend out from there. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

“Enough wagging of das tongue.” :face_with_monocle:

Back to work. :man_shrugging::hammer_and_wrench:

The extra detailing and work will really make this a unique build mate. It all looks superb :+1:

That level of work is far over my skills , very well !

I couldn’t spend so much time on this, but let me show you another one of my „Star Wars „ like constructions …

A Focke Wulf Glashouse , compared with a 1:48 Tail from a warthog , engines and parts from different kits , gave a small Tie Fighter like thing .

@ Gerrit (Killnoizer). I really like the ‘Focke Wulf Glashouse’ — one of my favorites! :rocket:

Fellow Robots and Rocket Scientists,
Thank’s for your comments! :robot: :rocket:

Trying to meet the campaign deadline, so It’s been a$$es & elbows around here! :hammer_and_wrench::paintbrush::sweat_smile:

Here’s today’s Boarding Ramp update. This may help put things into proper perspective.

The original Haunebu II kit version.

… and after a bit of scratch-building. :hammer_and_wrench:

Tough dry-fit session, but fortunately the geometry worked-out exactly as planned.

“Is this the way to the Defecatorium?” :toilet: :point_left::face_with_monocle:

Thank’s for having a seat!

Looks fantastic Mike. That yellow and Black really makes these pieces stand out.

One question though. Is it just the perspective of the photo, or is the ramp longer than the opening it needs to fit into?

Or does it use Time Lord Physics…

Thank’s Peter,

Never thought of that. :thinking:

“Hmmm…” :face_with_monocle::thought_balloon:

Actually, your perspective opticals do not deceive you. In all “reality,” if I stuck to the ‘Squadron’ kit instructions, it would work, i.e. remove scratch-built hydraulics, then the extension could be folded back between the railings and the entire assembly would fold neatly into the ship’s cavity. However, I opted for the more insane path cause’ I saw it in ‘Star Wars.’ … Speaking of which, along with ‘Star Wars,’ some of my other influencers have been ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark,’ ‘Aliens,’ ‘Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow’ and ‘Toy Story 3.’ :rocket:

“Enough wagging of das tongue. Where are these bombs?!” :face_with_monocle:

Gotta’ go. My presence is needed in the Bomb Room. :bomb: :man_facepalming:

@Johnnych01 @justsendit Thanks. I am glad this one’s off the table now. It was fun, but got bogged down and I lost interest.

Ron, excellent build! Congrats on finishing.

Mike, Beautiful details - every part of your build is a small masterpiece. Looking forward to see it come together.

Gerrit, Great Star Wars type build. Could definitely see that in a bombing run on an imperial dreadnought!

WARNING!

Some images are not suitable for the experienced modeler. Extreme hurling can occur. :face_vomiting:

Today, from the dark depths of the saucer…

Affixed Belly Dome Landing Lights with Microscale (MI-9) Micro Krystal Klear and permanently attached old, natty masking tape.

Adjusted Tower base geometry and added guide support blocks to the Belly Dome.

Here’s where things got a bit fiddly/ugly. Assembly was achieved while balancing the Tower and applying VMS Flexy 5K Black Thin CA (VMS.CM11) by flashlight through the hull’s dark pit. Once cured, I removed the Belly Dome from the hull (again) and attached the Chain Drive using Microscale (MI-9) Micro Krystal Klear.

My mantra: “Nobody will see it… nobody will see it… nobody will see it…”

Then it’s belly back up to the hull, boys!

Contraption dry-fit completed! :gear::gear: :sweat_smile:

Thank’s for sweating along! :sweat_smile:

VF-1 Valkyrie Battroid

I thought I’d share this wonderful photo taken of my Battroid at Telford 23. Much better than my ham-fisted attempt.

My apologies if I have already posted this.

Congratulations to all my fellow builders and their fantastic builds they have been sharing with us in this group build.

Have a wonderful festive season.:christmas_tree:

Raid of Secret Storage Facility!

Parts from hidden storage are slowly making their way to the Bombing Deck. :bomb:

While moving through this maze, I’ve been triple-checking all clearances between components and deck assemblies. All good so far. :triangular_ruler::sweat_smile:

This is about as far as it gets for now. I’m being summoned to another deck. :arrow_heading_up:

Thank’s for having a look!

A Bridge Too Far…

The title is somewhat explanatory. For this campaign, I won’t have enough time to complete the Bridge Deck and Crew figures the way I’d really like to. :hammer_and_wrench:

Anyhow, here’s a rough plan of what I have in mind for the Bridge and “Lancaster Bomber Crew” whom will eventually be pressed into German Luftwaffe service. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

“Haunebu, who shrunk the Crew?” :mag::face_with_monocle:

I’m seriously considering chopping the large, chunky control panels at their bases in order to make them more relevant to the size of the Flight Crew. … The Dremel Tool is salivating at the mere thought of another tasty Styrene meal! :plate_with_cutlery: :yum:

BTW: Here’s an image of the kit version borrowed from Squadron’s website.

From the Squadron image, the crew must have very short legs and extremely tall bodies to fit in the chairs and work the controls!
