Dropping this here…

Guided Missile Frigate from Sci Fi 2024. Gonna get her across the finish line.

Excellent, Doug!

A fantastic build - I would love to see it finished.

I will drop the leftover from the previous build here, if that’s ok:

I have three kits. One of them is a resin figure, the second is a Revell Star Wars set slightly started and the third is a scratchbuilt starship. As I am tackling a BMP-1 in the Made in USSR (2025) campaign and have a focus to complete that, I will select the one to build in this campaign in January. Also will upload the start photo.

All the three does worth to participate… hard to choose!

Absolutely, Ron. Any previous unfinished Sci-Fi and Alternative History model is good for this campaign.

Looking forward to see more.

Tamas, Sounds like some great entries. I might do some star wars myself.

Looking forward to see what you choose

I’m in; however, I don’t know if I’ll roll the previous campaign’s entry or start something entirely new. Besides cutting the pour blocks off and sanding the resin, I didn’t make much progress in 2024’s Sci-Fi Campaign basically because of lack of workbench time, the Japanese resin kit had no pins-to-holes, and the instructions were vague.

Count me in. Determined to finish a build for this campaign.

As I’ll be doing a dedicated build for my upcoming Trek campaign, I’ll do something from Star Wars.

Either the A-Wing or B-Wing from BanDai.

Nice choices, Stephen. The Bandai kits are super good and perfectly engineered.

Hmm…I wonder if a MiG-21 in Luftwaffe colours falls under what-if or sci-fi :zany_face::innocent:

Hi!

I’m unsure if any of you are familiar with it, but I’m planning to make a what if/sci-fi build based on the retrofuturistic themed Fallout series of video games/tv show. I’ve been a big fan of it for a while and I’ve recently thought about how afvs would be used in Fallout’s post-apocalyptic setting; so I’ll be making an Enclave (post apocalyptic US government remnants) MBT-70/KPZ-70 that’ll be modified to match the Fallout universe more.

I’ll be using the Dragon KPZ-70 kit with some modifications that I’ll plan out more of later. I’m already planning to make the commander’s 20mm autocannon into a plasma/gauss machine gun, due the Enclave’s frequent use of them in the series. Also I’m debating on how to paint it, I think a red desert/desert MERDC as an “experimental camouflage” could be cool, but if any of you know of any cold war experimental US camos I’d love to know!

Aloha All,

Looking forward to another round. My intent will be this Bandai Zaku II. I don’t know much about Gundam, but this looks pretty cool. I will likely change the color scheme significantly, but haven’t decided which way to go yet.

That is the main bad guy grunt unit from the original Mobile Suit Gundam from 1979 (YouTube link to the series).

Aloha Doug, thanks for the link. Fun series. I also found an explanation, documentary style, of the Zaku II suit.

Happy Modeling,

Well, depends on what luftwaffe? If it is WWII luftwaffe it definitely fits the bill. If it is the Bundes luftwaffe that actually used the MiG-21 for a short while, it is not Sci-fi or What-If.

@LiterallyHorrigon Cool plan - sounds great! Looking forward to see more.

@Zonarch Nice choice. I have been tempted by these kits many times, but have yet to buy any of them.

Planing a WW2 Luftwaffe MiG-21. A parallel world where Germany won the war and launched Operation Büroklammer

Interesting idea! However logically the post WW-II Luftwaffe of Marshall Göring would use a Panavia Tornado (as original German plane) instead of the that-time-demolished Soviet Union made MiG-21. But surely, it is your choice and to be honest, the WWII German camo will look good on a MiG-21. I will follow your build with interest!

Interesting idea, Raj! Looking forward to see where you take that build in terms of camouflage and markings.
