show your 2024 armored vehicle work here!
here is my work for 2024
Nice!
I assume these are all 1/35, or are they mixed scales?
That’s some very nice work there; I always faff around with bases and the like - I now sometimes wonder if I should(!)
yes all in 1/35 scale
If we’re just talking armored vehicles then here:
I also built another 14 non-armored kits consisting of 2 aircraft, 4 railway vehicles, 4 space craft, an AT gun, and 3 miscellaneous vehicles.
Wow, really amazing work and really nice photography! I’m sure that the model kit companies are proud to see their kits built, painted, and done at such a level as that!
Some of you should submit to the Finescale Magazine Gallery. I don’t think that you’ll get paid, but Finescale Modeler does pay for “How to” and showcase articles.
Have not been able to log into that site for seven months at least and can’t even get an answer for help.
Wow! You guys certainly churn them out; I’ve only managed three - and one of those was half-started from long ago(!)
Some outstanding work there - I admire your dedication to the hobby.
My efforts over a 12 month period:
Some really amazing work and numbers completed! You’ve all far surpassed my output of ¾ of a tank and ½ of a halftrack. Maybe 2025 is going to be my year, hahaha…time to get to the bench.
I looking forward to this thread and seeing more builds!
Strictly speaking, I can only contribute two armoured vehicles, the rest are all soft skins, artillery or figures. One is the Panther G which I’ve already posted here: Tamiya Panther G Late - Armor/AFV / WWII Axis - KitMaker Network
The other is this; the Border models Mobelwagen. I did question the manufacturers scheme shown in the instructions for 9SS in Hungary and was assured by everyone that Border never do any research so it could be ignored! So I settled for generic three colour for Arnhem in September 1944. I was also told that it is just a crib of Tamiya’s Mobelwagen, furthering the same errors. I put them side by side and considering they are the same vehicle, there are differences, so not sure about that!
That’s a pretty smart line-up there Ian; very smart.
Thank you.
I appear to have completed a lot more than I thought …
OK, so they’re not technically all armoured vehicles, but they are all 1:35 scale (in addition, I built a 1:20 scale Tyrrell P34 F1 car). The railway crossing is a display base, not a proper diorama, but meant for AFVs etc. The barriers can be posed open as well as closed, and also removed entirely for storage.
Also, I didn’t build the mud-camouflaged Sherman or the two Jagdtigers. A friend gave me the Sherman fully built (though I made some corrections to it) and later asked me to paint the two Jagdtigers for him.
