Cockpit looks great Erwin.

Thanks… I embellished it with the Quinta set… That really spices up the cockpit… Since the radio is also treated in that set, I opened up the radio hatch to show, and added leads to it… For now the hatch is taped on the inside, to facilitate painting…
Great looking bird, I love the Malta Spitfires

My Special Hobby RAAF Spitfire Vc is done. Will be the last model for a while as all my paints and tools just got boxed up in preparation for selling up and moving sometime in the new year.
The side fuselage roundels are a little off as I didn’t quite get the masks lined up properly when spraying and then masking the blue.
More progress on my matchbox spitfire. I have managed to construct the wings from 20+ broken pieces.
I am now ready for more construction. ![]()
That’s a first rate repair job on those wings Jesper … Very well done ![]()
So as I played with the new Eduard decals, I noticed a pro is the transfer film can be removed. A con is sometimes the decal plants itself separate from the film and it is where it is…no negotiations. That aside got some washes going.
That wash looks really effective.
Very nice! ![]()
Thanks for the comment, Johnny. It looks OK, but would not fly it if it was a real plane ![]()

It is really taking shape now - although the landing gear looks very out of scale. Very thin and very short, but maybe this late version of the Spitfire was build that way. I am no expert ![]()
I bet they flew worse ones than that in the BoB ![]()
Looking good Jesper. Good job on the repair too
Happy New Year
Pete
Thanks for the comments, guys!
I need to base coat it now, but I need to do it outside, but there is literally a snowstorm now, so will have to wait ![]()
