One big use for the de-gunned M14s was as tractors for towed 17pdr A/T guns. The fact that all came equipped with the front winch was important for the emplacement and recovery of the heavy gun. I believe the extra weight of the otherwise inferior RHS armour may actually have helped traction. The different motor may have had more torque, too.

Lovely scene JR. Really like the top canvas tie downs and how they are threaded through the loops. Also, the oils cans, knowing your drive to scratch build … were these done thus ? or are they kit cans ? The white one adds a nice dash of colour. Now I know this one is totally out of your hands and to do with the printing process I think, but the crew box body at the rear, when I zoomed in, i can see the lines from the printing process ( I think thats what they are )? does most 3D printing have these ? And is there any way round it ?
