Stryker Upgrade and the new A1 Family

It’s not a big task to convert my designs to a AFV Stryker unless the shape is very different, but I doubt it.

Somebody you know already is doing the conversion?
How far along is he/she in this project?

For the AFV Club kit it’s already done.

Photos from Defence Blog and WarThunder Forum.

The Stryker A1 with the Rafael Samson’s turret has three-axis rotation on the CITV and gunner’s fire control sight turret BALLS, allowing for better field of view and scanning that just a two-axis (up and down) pivot fire control. It really is an improvement over the original Stryker turret because it allows for better air defense than the original Stryker 30mm Dragoon.

Almost done:

You need this version?

Or this version?

I just noticed the right optic is not correct.
Some adjustments needed later today.

@Small_Designer I think you need both optical sights and they’re best separated from the differences on the base. One base has vents and the other doesn’t.

I didn’t copy and paste both CONTROP optical brochures onto Armorama, but on WarThunder, the poster did show both so I’m assuming that you will need both.

It could be that one is iSea-25HD and the other is SIGHT-25HD. You’re going to have to tell the difference as notice the top right optic on SIGHT-25HD is not a full circle compared to iSea-25HD. SIGHT-25HD can see further than iSea, so I would assume the gunner uses SIGHT-25HD and the TC uses iSea-25HD, but again, I don’t know for sure. You can email CONTROP and see if they’ll tell you for sure.

Adjusted, this looks more like it.

There seems to be 2 of these on the turret.
I’ll make them both, no problem.

You work super fast - I’m jealous!

Here’s some pics of the new 30mm turret I took in October. This one also has a missile launcher that isn’t in the US Army version.

What is the base model?
Does it goes on the Dragoon?

This is the second 30mm turret for Stryker, which will be fitted to the A1/DVH variants, unlike the Kongsberg 30mm Dragoon variant. It’s based on the Rafael Sampson turret.

More here.

It seems the “Trumpeter 1/35 M1129 Mortar Carrier” looks to be the best kit to start designing.

The opening where the turret sits is the same location where the mortar sits.
So except for the armor part just before the front wheels its going to be spot on.

I only need to design a base for the turret and the turret itself.

Nevermind the mortar carrier, de rear is straight and not angled.
So it’s going to be the Trumper M1126.
Placing the order as soon as possible, so I can do this project.
