Quickly finished the resin figures for the diorama. Everything went together without any problems. I´ve pre-assembled them as I plan to show them later in my desert diorama. To you think I should add two running guys to the scene?

Actually I would reduce the figures to 2; figure on the left leaning against the left idler, perhaps mg-gunner next to him and then first figure to the right taking cover behind rightside sprocket.

Thanks for the input Ron :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:. I decided to paint all figures and decide later how much to place them when I have an overview over the diorama

Spent the day today with masking and painting the Caunter camouflage of my Stuart. The colors were out of Vallejos paint set; the colors were as used perfect for airbrushing and of good opacity

After masking procedure

And finally the finished results after painting and demasking

Now a thin gloss coat for applying the decals :paintbrush:  :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Finished my Stuart finally from outside exept the remaining tracks. After setting the decals I made a desert filter, some color chippings with german camouflage brown, drybrushed desert sand colors and finally setting some desert sand pigments at the horizontal surfaces. So far I am quite satisfied how it looks :innocent:

Now there are just the tracks left to get finished :hugs:

That’s a beautiful model. Exquisite paint work and excellent weathering. Everything looks just right.

And finally with finished tracks on. I have to admit that these vinyl tracks are really not bad. All the work with this super-fragile bronco single link tracks is unnecessary and would have resulted in tears and sweat during painting and assembling onto the tank in the end.

Now its time for putting my hands onto these italian Guastatoris which are lurking around this abandoned tank

I am currently reading Steel Chariots, which features warfare from the Honey. The author states that their engine deck was always was littered with bedding for the crew of 5 (it occasionally caught fire and even more frequently was riddled with schrapnel) . Maybe ad some of those? The result is stunning, btw…

@golikell : Erwin thank you for the flowers. Adding some bedding for the crews is a nice idea; I will see what I have in my stash which I can use for it  :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Gentlemen, the italian assault pioneers are finally finished :innocent:. I don´t consider me an able figure painter but this time I am happy about the results with my rudimentary painting skills. The quality of the figures from SOGA was outstanding as usual and made painting much easier for me. Straps for the Carcano rifles and the Breda machinegun were made out of tin foil from a good bottle of italian whine :yum::

I couldn´t resist and bought two extra running soldiers to my small platoon in order to give a more dynamic situation to the scene

Now its just the diorama base remaining to do  :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Looking at these you may well consider yourself to be not just an able painter, but a skilled one. At least.

You should change your perspective, you’re more than able. :+1::+1:
