The chains are slowly grinding forward. Hope to clear coat late tonight & decal tomorrow.
@Armor_Buff Looking really good!
My latest update. Both vehicles are fully built and are ready for paint.
@McRunty Rory those 34’s look fantastic! “Bed Spring” & PE fenders A+
How do you do the wheel & track sub-assembly?
These kits come with link and length tracks with long runs on the top and bottom. Made it easy to assemble the tracks, glue them up and then pull the whole sub assembly off the hull.
I don’t have the skill or references to do an interior on the T-34/D30 like Rob has done so I just covered the hole with a tarp.
I also had problems with one of the smoke generators on the rear hull
Looks great and I do like the canvas cover and how you secured it.

Yes, the brackets and mounting straps on those canisters are damn fiddly.
A little update tonight-the gun is done and I have started on the hull.

The RFM T-34-85 #174 made a little more progress toward the finish line. Still needs a few tweaks & flat coat etc
That’s pretty!
I’m tempted to get another RFM T-34/85 as I enjoyed my first one so much
Of the newer current state of the art kits, I’ve built the RFM T-34-85 was most fun and rewarding. No idea if #174 factory T-34’s ever had spider wheels or scalloped exhaust.
I picked up another RFM kit to do one just for fun.
I have to agree, the RFM T-34 D30 was like putting a Tamiya kit together with just enough small parts in the D30 to keep things interesting. I’m looking forward to their Egyptian T-34/122 build when it hits the top of the stack.
wow. that looks pretty good.
Cheers!

interior done on the RFM T-34/D30, will put the top on later but started on the link & length tracks… so far so good… think this one is nearly ready for painting
Wade and Rob, those kits are looking great.
And we are done!
My two T-34/85s are complete and ready for the display case. I really am not one for a lot of weathering so these got a pin wash and some colour modulation and that’s about it.
Too add some visual distinction between them I painted them using 4BO from 2 different manufacturers.
The Berlin was done in AK Real Color 4BO (RC073) and the Factory 112 vehicle was done in Mission Models Dark Green 4BO (MMP-031)
My only gripe is that because I hate to wait till the vehicle was fully painted before I added the screens on the Berlin vehicle, their attachment points are very fragile as they are basically only superglued to the paint layer. Oh well.
This was a fun little campaign and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing everyone else’s vehicles.
@McRunty Rory, both T-34-85’s are fantastic
I like the variation in,the B4O paint. The bed spring armor is striking and very nicely done.
Good looking builds all around.

Looks great!
