Dan & Ryan, It may be a nearly out of the box build, not sure if any aftermarket goodies are available for the old 1/25 T-34-85.
Picked up kit at 2002 IPMS Nationals in Virginia Beach. Had forgotten its like brand new even the decals. It’s a very simple build 8 steps in the instructions.
Dan, I think the 1/25 kits started out motorized and later were also sold as display only. No motor with this one, it must be a later re-pop. I had a Tamiya motorized 1/25 Panther IRCC.
Just ordered this kit for this Campaign, wanted to do another Miniart kit, and a T-344 with the D-5 gun.
This combines both.
It is not an interior kit as that seems still a little bit too much for me.
You mentioned before you have never done a campaign before, we all start at the same time which is 1 July. Do you plan to build another T-34/85 as part of this campaign?
Outstanding, that version is 100% allowed. Just wanted to make everyone was on the same page in the same book.
Do post pictures of your build. I was thinking about getting that version as it’s the cheapest 85 around and if making an ARV, it looks nicer then the Academy/Airfix kit.
As not to confuse folks about the campaign, I would create a new thread here. We can add link in here after you started to inspire folks and we can post this thread link in your thread to help with interest.
Is there a difference between 76 and 85 hulls? I had included those guns from RFM as the 85 gun hull was using the same plastic. For the ARV, Def Model had a set to convert the Academy 85 kit and it is different then ARV 76 Academy kit.
I guess from what I have posted it might be called anything but 76 so far.
