I started my built a long time ago, got the box cheap in japan and the colorful bird was appealing,
However the Hasa decals where brittle i could have guessed so the build stalled as i debated to get a new decal set i wondered if it was worth it for this model,. it’s no Eduard and shows it’s age,…
I was in luck the black Friday sale at our Aviation mega store had a (old"1997") decal set for only a few euro’s so i had no excuse anymore among some other stuff got the Superscale 48-616 the fit is not perfect but it all worked out and the best thing they did not totally disintegrated upon removing them from the paper
To be honest still toke me a bit of time to actually restart. So 3 weeks ago i slowly got going again, as such im now rushing
Now I’m calling it done

In a nutshell: my wife had an operation at the end of November and we had a relative hospitalised just before Christmas who died a few days ago. Add to that 2 young children (aged 4 and 18 months), plus some critical bugs at work (I’m an IT developer), and the projects I’d planned for the end of the year have fallen by the wayside.

Well….thats a wrap on this campaign! Thanks to everyone for participating; we had some great builds cross the finish line.
Not hearing any motion for an extension, I’ll count this one closed. 
Hopefully later this week I’ll compile a list of users who completed the build and post it here. @Marksman is graciously working on a medal design for us which I’ll post here when it’s done.

Thanks for running this P-51 campaign. Even though I did not get a project even started much less completed for it I did follow along. Should another version come up I will be interested in joining with a Halberd XP-51 in 1/48. it is a resin kit that I am itching to tackle.
How about a P-47 campaign in the future? I have the XP-47H conversion also by Halberd waiting in the wings right now.
