Tiger Battalion

This build would motivate me to actually hit Andy’s HHQ and buy the Takom Tiger Big Box (if available).

I’m in! With the two other Takom Tigers in my stash that haven’t been started, I think I’ll hop in.

@SableLiger , Both boxes are available (the original one with three and then the pre-order with Wittman’s Tiger and the Gruppe Fehrmann Tiger)

@Damraska , that is a great idea! If @phil2015 is up for it, that’d be awesome! :sunglasses:

Emmmm…this got me thinking…I was at the Armor open house at Ft. Moore last month, and did not see their Elefant displayed. I wonder if they have it on loan somewhere?

I just sent an email to the curator of the collection, hopefully he answers me.

Please count me in.

There’s another half dozen or so that aren’t easily accessible. Hard part will be which one…

Close your eyes and throw a dart in the closet. Build what it sticks into.

So I heard back from the curator of the Armor collection at Ft. Moore. It was part of the Ordnance Collection at Aberdeen since it’s arrival during WW2. It is currently at Fort Gregg-Adams. They have requested that it be transferred to Ft. Moore, but that has not happened as of yet.

I am in - as everybody else I have a horde of tigers to choose from :slightly_smiling_face::+1:t2:

Ft. Gregg-Adams… Where I went through Quartermaster School… It’ll always be Ft. Lee to me. THat being said; the vehicle is probably at the museum because they moved the Ordnance School up to Gregg-Adams (Lee) from APG and the Army’s Transportation School was also moved from Ft. Eustis to Gree-Adams.

What a mess… Schools have been moved all over the place.

They do make a variety of eyeball model kits, but I don’t believe any will qualify for this campaign idea.

I may jump into it, will be using Dragon Tiger in 1/72, I wonder if the King Tiger is also part of this GB?

Just Tiger 1 Gil, or anything on a Tiger 1 chassis, SturmTiger etc

In a way, it makes it easier for me, as I have only one Tiger I in 1/72 scale

I’ve always fancied this photo for the whole “swords into ploughshares” ethos:

Well, since that is a Tiger II, I am afraid it is not eligible.

Indeed. A Tiger can be a bit of work to get started

I just dug out my Sturm Tiger from the stash… All set to have it a go!

I’m in. As KT’s are not eligible, mine will be either the Border early Tiger I or the Tamiya Mid with Friuls, all the aftermarket goodies and zim.

Will decide shortly.
