Looks fine to me. Bit of paint will bring that out.
It was notoriously cramped when they had the full set inside and that really captures it.

I actually got some work done on the H.L. Hunley submarine that I am building for this campaign.
I got the hull assembled and added the winch, dive planes and few etched brass items. Also assembled the snorkel assembly and the display base. The fit of the hull pieces isn’t very good and I still need to spend more time filling and sanding some gaps. The instructions aren’t the best but luckily I found a series of videos from a modeler that built one of these and that has helped with the assembly. Even with it’s flaws, I think it is going to look fine once it is completed.

Sprayed the interior gray… and came across pictures that show the inside was covered in some kind of material…
And pictures of the 1/32 model have that reproduced like this…
So I tried something…

I have an old Revell and extra parts to make a good representation of my father’s USS Hawkbill from his time in the Pacific during WWII.

Not a lot of progress on my HMAS AE2 though there’s not a lot to it in the first place. Hull is together and conning tower on. Have drilled a couple of holes in the keel for mounting pins and it will get the same mounting and base arrangement as my Collins and Oberon class submarines.

I got a little more work done on the Hunley. This model is reminding me why I dislike photo-etched brass. I should have the construction completed soon.

Mask on… mask off…
Here’s my recent effort on the Ju 88A-4…
Removed main landing gear masks, masked and installed landing gear doors, re-masked landing gear. Removed protective tape ball from tailwheel and masked those doors. Masked loose access panels as well.

Added aerials to the underside…
And as the main problem with building helicopters is the amount of space they need once built, I decided to take this picture of a 1/32 model from a Dutch site as example…
And cut off the rotor blades, drilled holes, used metal wire and did this..
I will now have to make those clamps and the rest…
