Tough MUVver Campaign

The chassis frame is ready ‘clean’. I will add dust, dirt and sand later, after connecting it to the body and additional armour. I installed a silencer from the M1114 Bronco, because the one from Academy is also incorrect. I also cut the engine, which will require some tinkering and combining, but I am optimistic.

Slowly winning the battle, but don’t zoom in to much :face_with_peeking_eye:

Is it a original Black Dog conversion, or aftermarket copy? What happened here??? Take your time. Be more precise, take it easy—you’ll be pleased with the result.

As I bought this kit with the BD set second hand I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an Ali clone, noticed on the BD site there should be PE as well which is missing in my set… and that is glue, that’s why I said don’t zoom in to much  but a bit of sanding will help later on.

Getting this far with this build resulted in not being able to unlock my phone with my fingerprint…

then it is 100% a copy if there are no PE elements

Or, perhaps someone bought the BD set, espied the PE sheet and thought “I will sell this to Bert, but keep this nice sheet of PE, it’ll do for another project “.

Stranger things have happened.

In that case he probably kept the best part of the set…

Additional armour plating on the underside is ready. I simplified it a bit, but this is not a competition model. TBC

That is looking great Piotr. The way the detail pops out makes a difference.

Work on the model is ongoing. I have dirtied the frame and the lower part of the bodywork – without wheels. The engine is 90% ready. Now it’s time to dirty the wheels, the front of the vehicle and the engine. Since the right front tyre is different from the standard wheel for the M1152, I replaced it with an old-style tyre with a rim from the M1151. TBC

The vehicle is 90% complete. There are still some details to be finalised. I believe the flags are satisfactory. I have no idea what to use for the single headlight, which appears to be an LED version. Now it is time for the cannon…

Great work, but poor humvee ! The users of this one are really crazy. I wonder how much time a vehicle can works without an engine hood.

Weathering is done. Time to seal up the interior

Finito! The model is complete. I hope I managed to make it look like the original, although there was some guesswork involved in the construction. It’s quite an original monster and I like it.

Starting to look like an MRAP. I forgot how fiddly MRAP suspensions are. Kit required strip styrene to fill the gap between the upper and lower hull. Fenders were all warped and required straightening to fit properly. Boy this kit is a dog at times

Nice finish and what a particular humvee.
