Thanks, Armor - “awesomeness”? or craziness??? a few of us follow the path… “wait a minute, is that a phillips head screw???” “I think I can show that…”

Three days ago I was looking for a bottle of aluminum colored enamel and couldn’t find it in this thing in my workshop where I store my paint and and other modeling implements of destruction.
I emptied nearly three drawers looking for a bottle of paint. I decided there had to be a better way. I’d resisted the bench top laser cut racks because they take up so much space.
I didn’t realize there were wall mounted racks.
I must have used up the aluminum enamel because I never found it.
I have no idea why I have eight dropper bottles of light olive.
Finished up the D9 conversion.
Al, that’s a sweet paint set up! A+++
@RDT1953 , your CAT looks great - it is quite a build. The transformation to the civilian version is very convincing. I enjoyed seeing your process photos along the way, and now it’s clear, all of that work paid off!
Cheers

Thanks Wade. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the racks.
I probably could use one more with Citadel sized holes for the enamel paints and pigments that are still in the bottom drawer.
@ Richard (RDT1953). The CAT came out beautifully!

I got to spend a few minutes gluing up the photoetch in my Tiger Models Leclerc and painted all the periscopes. Not looking forward to the tracks but the kit is otherwise pretty nice. I’ve got a pair of Tamiya Leclercs in the stash but I enjoy having the later version. The French have some weird designs, but this tank is a handsome and distinctive (in a good way) track.
How are you liking the fit of the kit?
Well, for someone that complaints about painting, I actually pulled the trigger (literally! on my airbrush!) and primed my current project. I have to say, the painting went very smoothly and came out nicely.
Mostly really nice. A few parts are a little tight, a few others unusually loose but they are well molded and there’s very little flash. I can’t speak to accuracy but they aren’t far off of the Tamiya version of the Leclerc and it’s a neat looking tank
Is that white sprayed from above on the second pic (cuppola)?
Like one does with figures, pre-shading?
I’m looking at that kit. I love the lines of it.
I’ve screwed up the etch piece in a turret basket, and I think the turret hatches are switched in the instructions, so be careful with them. Otherwise it’s turning into a handsome model.
That looks great, Richard! Well done!
Now you can start some roadworks in front of your house!
Nothing but black so far. It will have a lighter color sprayed over for modulation before the final color, but so far, nothing but black.
Haven’t done any armor last year, so I thought my first new project should have some tracks. This kit has stared at me long enough out of my stash to be ready for the bench. In the end it will hopefully become an early M48 of the early Bundeswehr Started the build on Sunday …
… there are 2 moulding issues which need to be fixed. Some putty will help out …
