And now I have the tracks mounted
Trying this again. Last night I spent working on the panther tanks road wheels. Painted and mounted them. I Think they look okay. But no where near some of the work I’ve seen others do here. I plan on working on getting the tracks done tonight.
Ok, thanks, it looked quite white on my tablet
Reworked welds, roof texture, added loader’s periscope, added recessed bolts.
Edit - learned my 8 bolt detail is incorrect and should be a near flush mounted detail.
Detailed loaders hatch & replaced extraction fan housing with PE & styrene.
Added a casting number to mantlet.
Painting a lot roadwheels over the weekend, both for the Tamiya Sturmtiger and the Academy Panzer IV.
Also dropping paint on the Hand-me-Down T-90A from Meng. It came with about 98% of the parts, except for the main tank gun sight top, whichb i will have to figure out how to replicate, unless someone has a replacement in their spares box.
The tracks were a bit intimidating, but once you get the hang of them, they’re amazing. The same Double Pin tracks are used on the T-72B3 and B3M kits, which i have on my stash. No need to get metal tracks for this kit.
I have to honestly start working on my shelf of doom and finish all these kits before i even consider touching a new kit. All I’ve done in the last few months has been working on all these kits and spending money on glue, paint and primer.
Very nice indeed, I built the same kit some time ago, Eduard kits are really at the top of my list and you’ve made a smashing job of yours.
Watto.
Wow! Nice work.
Looks amazing! All that’s left is a Sour Patch Kids size comparison!
I put decals from Decalcomaniacs! on my Vargas Scale Models US M2A4 Light Tank. This represents tank 5 of C Company, 66th Armored Regiment of the 2nd Armored Division in the Louisianna maneuvers in 1941.
@ RougePilot. Thank’s! Hmmm… I think a trip to the store is in order.

I’ve spent way too much time on this and of course, @Petition2God has CADed them for 3D printing now. LOL!
Just finished this Gecko kit of the 30cwt GS Truck.
This was my first Gecko kit and I was impressed by most of it- the accuracy is particularly good and the moulds were crisp and well detailed. The plastic moulded tyres and wheels were a nice touch- something I wish other manufacturers would attempt.
I did encounter some fit problems- some or all of these could have been my fault of course! One major issue is tiny, delicate parts with thick sprue attachment points. Some bits of the kit could have done with being moulded as one piece rather than several.
The kit felt very delicate and I thought I would get some breakage due to the handling and masking required for the Caunter scheme but aside from two easily reattached PE pieces, it held up remarkably well.
Thanks for reading.
Nice one, Karl!
@ Karl (Karl187). That camo scheme and dusty weathering is outstanding!

Very sharp looking model Karl!
I really like it!
Worked on spare tracks & brackets today.
Edit worked some more on the track holders.
