The Master would not forgive me if I left off the lower hull decals.

@BlackWidow - Thank you Torsten, much appreciated :+1:!

@justsendit - Cheers mate- I really enjoyed doing the Caunter scheme- the sharp and long lines of pattern just looks good on vehicles
or at least I think it does! I’m already looking for another subject I can do in it! I look forward to seeing that big flying disc on the base you’ve been working on!

@Armor_Buff - I appreciate the kind words Wade, thanks. The Tiger details are pretty darn sharp too I must say!

I continue my cannon epic.

I have long wanted to assemble an anti-aircraft gun. Agree, they are a little different from their counterparts.
Some parts are not yet glued to make painting easier.

I also want to buy resin wheels. I don’t like the rubber ones - I’m not good at painting them. The gun will be in transport position. It is less common and I have a tractor for it.
I’ve completely forgotten how to solder, but I used to do it quite well.

I need to train!

Gave my Jp a grey filter as it will be a rainy wet panzer(abt 654), did some weathering at the tracks. In the background the Border Crusader Mk III (club build)

@fromSalekhard Yuri, the skirt work & PE on your Pz IV looks top notch! Wish my soldering skills were even close to that good. A+++

The other models look great too but the Pz IV skirts rock!

Well not today but yesterday my modeling workshop went on the road. An AMPS club build day at The American Heritage Museum in Hudson, MA. They had tables set up for us on the museum floor and we built all day from 10 - 5 surrounded by the mint condition armor. If you needed reference, you just walked up to the real thing and took a look. We had about 12 guys there. It was an armor modeler’s dream day. I ate lunch next to Jacque Littlefield’s Panther A. After we closed the museum we all went to Chili’s for a great dinner and some treadhead talk. A tremendous day!

I got all the “big parts” done on my RFM M4A3E8. This kit goes together like magic. No filler needed anywhere. This was one 7 hour session.

That’s an amazing place to have your build take place, Mathew!

$27 and $16 plexiglass spice racks for thinner/reducer and primer/clear storage.

Now I have an idea of what I have instead of blindly ordering stuff I can’t find…

Happy for you, that you’ve had such a great day at the museum, Matt! :slightly_smiling_face:

I know how that feels, as I had my very first model show in 2005 … :open_mouth: … at the German-Canadian Air Force Museum about 50 km away from my home. I sat in front of a RCAF Starfighter, next to a Sabre and a Fiat G91. So yes, such days are unforgetable.

Nothing spectacular to report. Just did a little work on the diorama base. Styrene sheets are glued-together now. Added a few cracks (see bottom left and middle right). The green tabs with red dots are rough landing gear boundary points.

Double-sided tape for positioning the concrete sheet.

What kind of blade are you using on the knife?

@ RougePilot.
It’s a general-purpose utility blade. I think it’s like this one from Amazon. I have a Bulk-Pak that I’ve had for a gazillion years.

However, I used a variety of tools for scribing the joints and for sculpting the crack features in the first image.

• Dental Pic (top)
• Mini Scraper Set from Micro-Mark (middle two)
• Awl (bottom)

Ok so I’ve finally completed the construction and painting phase on the panther. I sprayed it with a clear coat…Mr Super Clear matt. So how long do I wait before I apply the black panel line accent color?

That Looks Amazing. Awesome I started using clear or plastic containers that I purchased from Hobby Lobby cutting off the tops and use them to organize my Tamiya’ paints. The Vallejo Paints are in a separate cardboard box. It definitely helps to know where everything is at
