Al, wow! That’s a nasty surprise
with the tracks.
I wonder if anyone knows if the sprockets from the old Revell kit would work with the Das Werks model and the AFV track?

Wow, I think you’ve done this tutorial before! I did rush my production time in the beginning. During the later part I did leave them in the jig longer, however I pretty much cut the pins immediately which probably moved the pins and made them more fragile. Thanks very much, this is why the forum is wicked cool.
I will pick up a bottle of the Testors at my local HS too.
Just the name already rocks
I don’t know if the Revell sprockets will fit on the AH model, but I’ve just done troop trials with the AH track and the Revell sprocket and they’re compatible I would say (I used a straight length of track and rotated the sprocket along it; I did not assemble any loose links and then wrap around).
I can’t say if the AFV Club links will work with the Revell sprocket as I haven’t any. I hope they are as that was my plan when it comes to tackling my Revell model (with a PSM hull mod).
A fair question but why would you use the nice tracks on a lumpy kit?
Here’s an example out of the box with a nice metal barrel.
Note visible decal film but relatively straight decals.
Edited to add: I misunderstood your question Wade @Armor_Buff . My apologies.
No they don’t fit the very old Revell Kanonenjagdpanzer drive sprocket either. Thank goodness for polly caps….
Check out my silly sprocket wear.
Al, very sweet.
I was thinking in terms of trashing a copy of the old kit for a set of sprockets if they were useable.
Today, I didn’t catch one of the pre-assembled tracks was a link longer…
Weathered the tracks, pads are rubber IIRC.
First track installed OK…
The other track was a link short…
…weathering up one track link!
Edit update
Struggle Bunny
is assembled! Needs touch ups, flat coat & mounted on a base after everything cures for a few days.
I’m kinda in a crappy mood because I just spent the last three hours requalifying for my DOD/USMC Range Saftey Officer/ Officer in Charge (so I can RSO ranges at DOD installations) by taking an online test in my workshop while listening to my Wife babble at me over the two way because she was bored with being trapped upstairs after her surgery.
Now I’m on my way to Silver Diner because she wants carry out….
We only live to serve SWMBO …

ok makes since I got one of those as well.
Finalising placement, a few more figure touch-ups and more debris and scatter on the base. Nearly there.
So frustrating. And unexpected. I usually know when a part/technique, etc. is going to be trouble, but when a gremlin comes up behind and pulls a switch or whatever…
Some progress on the MRV. Ready for touch up/shaders, etc.
AMMO (FC model Trend) M1919s vs Academy M1919 with an Aber brass barrel (you get two of them) that cost more than two Academy US machine gun sets (13262)
Looking mighty fine. Nice MG set.
Also known as COMNAVWIFPAC… ( I feel your pain)
And I’m pretty much done except for the recovery cables that I’ve been waiting months for finally arrived.

Added a flat coat and began with a Vallejo Wash for green vehicles. I’m still not used to the Valejo washes. They dry fast. A few tide marks, but not bad.
I then used some black Tamiya panel liner. Much easier to work with.
Now i must prepare for dirtying the running gear and lower hull.
I’m planning on practicing on an old Model i built in the 90s to try things out on.
