Finished the base color painting on a Tamiya T-34-85. At first, i was concerned about how thew color came out, but it has grown on me somehow.

The build is looking great.

My father had build many dioramas in that scale, most with industrial themes, specialy mines. It’s great, what could be done in 1:87,to me it’s to small but I enjoy to see

For me its all about the trucks. The rest is just a backdrop. Trains are too complicated for me. And with hundreds of unbuild kits in the stash its nice for once to have something you just buy and put on display right away.

That’s the advantage of the small scale, I remember hundrets of vehicles and kits from buildings. I was always fascinated if handling smallest parts and how detailed smallest models can be

Started on the counter battery radar for the Green Archer.

I spent most of the morning cutting and trimming and sanding and fitting parts. Aside from the cone assembly on the bottom left, none of this is glued together.

I’ll assemble it all tomorrow.

Also got the tracks and running gear permanently attached to the Alfa and Green Archer hulls.

Well tonight I went to the work bench, a storm came up and the power promptly went out. So haven’t done much except going to bed early!

Ha. I was just starting a class earlier this afternoon and promptly disappeared when the power cut out for a minute. Took 7 minutes for my wireless to come back. Fortunately we were doing combined classes so there were other teachers who could take over. The perils of online education. A student in another class calls me ‘the wizard’ because of my beard, so when I logged back in he promptly told the class ‘the wizard has returned from his magical quest’ which of course delayed class further.

little more on these two today.

Used VJ chrome on the Mustang. I would probably not do a chrome plane this way again.

Go to bed early can be good sometimes

I had a little shop time this morning before the day really gets started to complete the base for the radar.

Deployed

Folded

Instead of building the APU next, I think I’ll skip ahead to the radar assembly if I get ambitious and have time later.
