What did you do in your modeling workshop today?

Very nice ! Is this with any sort of barrier in between the paint types ?

My work of this morning  First time I tried to bake oat cookies. Not bad … :yum:

I picked these up from Munich. The day was spent trying to figure out the optimal position for them. The end result……

Nope. Just airbrushed one on top of the other.

I spent the afternoon and evening assembling the AFV Club T84E1 tracks for my I Love Kit M53 155mm SP Gun. 180 links took almost 10 hours to de-sprue, clean and assemble. It was tedious, but much more exciting than joining my wife watching the Olympics…

I finally started the IBG Pz II Ausf b. Removed everything from the sprues and cleaned the parts yesterday, but today after close of business I got all the way up to the turret, which will take no time as I won’t have it open and can skip some of the unseen detail.

Ugh, I think that’s what I had last week too. I guess I was “lucky” to have avoided it over the last few years, until now. No proper sleep for 5 days.

Felt about well enough to do some “convalescence model making” on Sunday, when I did some more reshaping of the ancient Airfix P-51D engine cowling.

Moving on with the M817. I finished the winch, tailgate chains and paint and shot Tamiya matt over it. As usual it “deadened” some of the weathering so I need to revisit that. Got a base Tamiya dark green 2 on the genset and started the NATO brown.

Out tomorrow but plan to finish some details, including the genset and some wire spools over the weekend. Then on to the genset trailer.
