I assume the hatch drops down or is lifted up and back for the chain lift access and there will be a mechanism to raise and lower it?

Today I discovered the difference between AK Real Color Sinai gray and Vallejo Air Sinai gray:

as much as they are different , you nailed the pic colors I think.
