Powder Blue has always been close to my heart when it comes to OG VWs…

For the shield I am leaning this way.

The kiss approach, I have enough hurdles to overcome.

Some nice, sharp details on that fig- what make and scale is it? The green against the white should look awesome and grab the attention!

Patina; go for it.

I got mine at Scale Collectables but it’s a Fotis Mint Viking Raider 3D print found many places. They have a 4.5” or 7” print. Not sure about the scale as I can’t find any information.

UGGG! I had a shelf collapse and take out the shelf below it. Lots of repairs ahead, and a few going in the trash. :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob:

Thanks for that Ryan :+1:!

No problem. If you have any other thoughts on colors to pair with the figure I am interested to hear. The shield is the only thing I have picked and not 100% committed.

Mate that is not good. Hopefully you can salvage most of them.

Well when I did a 90mm Viking I went googling for references and found plenty of historical info and re-enactment type displays showing the various pieces of clothing and equipment that would have been used. The good thing was there was plenty of different colors- particularly in terms of clothing- so you have plenty of choice in painting.

My wife did hers’ (well, actually I did, but she chose) in orange with a white cab front and roof.

Thanks. Most are salvageable. A few really old ones will be stripped of usable parts and sent to the beyond.

Some more faffing about practicing with foam and groundwork

Looks great, like creamsicle popsicle. :+1: You went with a dark wood color for the bed slats?

What is the scale of the van? It looks out of scale compared to the pick up.

I was thinking that. My wife and I ride to DQ a lot in the summer just to get one. Hmmm. It’s not summer any more, but the bike does have gas in it. Wonder if they’re open yet…

Basically she used natural wood. I think old wood from Vallejo.

The Van is 1:16, made by Revell…

Cool. I had been reviewing the Hasegawa line on scalemates over the last few weeks and was very confused, makes more sense now. :upside_down_face:
