More colour added…
After getting overtaken by other events for a couple days, I think I’m ready for detail painting and assembly of these goofy looking guys.
As per usual, really nice job Wade! The rear end weathering is awesome.
Too much spare time yesterday…idle time…the Devil’s Workshop…and the cat leaped on to the bench…
I think the new kit is pretty amazing and definitely “not your father’s Oldsmobile” so to speak.
Got one myself,will be following
Slow progress on the Lambro 550. Just a little more paint. …![]()
Tires: Vallejo Dark Rubber (70.306)
Undercarriage & belly pan: Vallejo Black Primer (73.602)
First time using the AB in about four months. Got tired of faffing about and just went at it freehand, hence the overspray.

If these were US vehicles, they’d have little yellow warning placards with stick figures having their limbs crushed by giant gears instead of red and white stripes.
That’s funny.
With my language capabilities people always ask me why I don’t know more Spanish, especially since it’s so close to English. (Because I was never in a unit that planned on invading a Spanish speaking country, but I digress)
I say, “Really? How is it close to English? Peligro is nothing like Danger. The only reason I know what it means is because next to that word is always a stick figure either falling off of a ladder or getting struck with a really large yellow bolt of lightning.”
I used to install all the emergency equipment and Motorola radios on all the police motorcycles for my local police department.
Every siren speaker (the siren noise is from a separate electronic amplifier) came with a hearing loss warning sticker that said:
Do Not Operate Without Hearing Protection
I was supposed to put this on the crash bar next to the speaker…
But I never did.
Sometimes, when there are too many boxes of models, I buy various add-ons for them and then throw everything in the trash.
Not right away, of course. First, I cut it all up into pieces and glue it together in a different order. To make sure they can’t figure me out (well, you remember - the KGB never sleeps!), I also paint these pieces a different color.
Sometimes the resulting rubbish is so bad that it’s embarrassing to throw it away. Then I have to put it on the shelf. But that doesn’t happen often.
I’ve only just caught up with this one - I like it Bert - something very different, so to be welcomed.
RFM M1A1 1991 and repair work on an old M1A2 TUSK 2, looks like the resin warped with age and started popping off. Replaced all the resin and brass with leftover Tamiya parts
Lambro rambling on…
I attached the rooftop to the body structure. After which, I filled the gaps with VMS Flexy 5K Black Thin CA (VMS.CM11). Filing and sanding were done after curing.
Time to “sack up!” ![]()

The kit includes nicely detailed burlap and potato bags. These are glued-together halves (extras included). Note the concave stacking indent on the burlap bag. Nice touch, Gecko! ![]()

a VAB from the Heller company…a real shame for the French I have never assembled such a bad kit. Tiger Models had to make a decent one the VAB is a vehicle that served the French army in several conflicts ex Yugoslavia Afghanistan Sahel and much more it has been in all French engagements for more than 30 years and the only kit that exists is this poor kit the VAB deserves better
Welcome to Hell(er).
