Moving along now. Sorry for the industrial lighting- it’s hard to get both of these in the frame.

Blu tac is holding the turret like thing in place.

Finished my last kit for this year yesterday.
Fairey Firefly Mk. I
No. 1771 Sqn., FAA
aboard HMS Implacable
Summer 1945, Pacific
Kit: Trumpeter 1/48
Paints mostly from Vallejo but also Revell

As I mentioned before, this is a crappy kit, not worth the money … :-1: Has many flaws for quite a new kit (from 2018). More infos and photos as usual in my bench works thread.

The top of my M1150 ABV is pretty much built. Minus a few minor details that I will work with…

Getting to grips with the bullet splash rails around the turret of Trumpeters T-62, thinning them down and slightly adjusting their position. It appears they distorted the shape & position of the drivers hatch to accommodate their incorrect position, who would’ve thought ?

Been working on a how to make your own zimmerit thread in the axis section of the forum using an old Tamiya Late Tiger 1 kit as the example to demonstrate application.

Anyway decided to slap the old kit together just for the hell of it.

Before zimmerit coating.

So the Leo 2A7V is on hold for the moment.

Small progress, I am still trying new putty, my newest favorite is the Green Putty from Green Stuff World

I test build the Dragon Bridge, and will not use it. I got some 3d datas from cult, and this one looks more the thing…

I’ve actually been working on a Hasegawa 1/72 MV-22B. I started it back in May 2021 with the goal of just finishing the props. This month, I decided to do the rest of the kit. The parts for the engine pods, fuselage, wings, and tail surfaces are being worked on. I’ve run into surprises like some of my Gunze paint were more like sludge. I may add a picture of all the parts later, but progress is being made. I am feeling good about it.

Looks like almost all are fixable, so not too bad. Most are already fixed. Should have the others done by the end of the weekend.

Finished off my old Eduard Tempest V, not a great kit to put together (no locating pins, vague instructions, crumbly decals) but it looks the part.

I’ve been working on a 1/35 diorama of an old lumber yard, and have been building some trucks to populate it. I’ve made good headway on 3 of the 6. Today, I added some details to a Ford F-350 with a logger’s box:

This is the Meng kit. I gave it a modest lift kit, changed out the kit tires and wheels, and built the logger’s box bed.

The other two projects are, first, a piggy back lift truck for a lumber truck:

As you can see, this is a bit of junkbox special, but it will do want I want, which is this:

You can see the lift dryfit on the back of the truck - eventually it will be secured, with the lift tower fixed in a vertical position. As for the truck, it’s basically an Mk.23, but, as I want it to be a lumber truck, it is now a longbed using remnant frame part from an M1083 to lengthen the frame rails, and solid axles - the rear being from an old Italeri M923 kit, and the front…the junkbox provides: leafs, axle, and driveshaft from various MRAP/MATV kits, and scratchbuilt steering knuckles. I am still trying to get tires and wheels, so for now, on blocks!

If you’re interested in this project, I’m posting on Automodeler, so you can get a better sense of what I’m doing -

Cheers
Nick
