My plan is to make clear acrylic covers in a wooden frame that will attach via earth magnets to the face of each cabinet.
I’m attempting to build a barn from a kit for a diarama. It’s coming along nicely and I’m impressed by how it fits together. I wouldn’t know where to start or what to do for a scratch build so this is ideal for me
Looking good ,will the Pez containers be on a wall
Today, I moved back into my hobby room. All the damage from the leaking faucet/tap has been repaired, ceiling tiles, drywall and laminate flooring. Both benches look shambolic but will be tidied up over the next few days.
At least I got some time in down there today and now have about another 2 hour session needed to complete the M916. Then it’s on to the trailer and its load.
Finished up the Tamiya Do-335A. Overall happy with it, though my Testors rattle can flat still seems abit shiny but not gonna lose sleep over it.
STarted working on the 1/6 scale Kubelwagen; the box is so big, it takes a lot of space and; the instructions, as per Dragon’s explaining are, for lack of a better term, garbage. I havew the kit partially built atop my coffee table in the living room and building such a large-scale kit has been a mild nuisance for me.
Assembly instructions are cryptic and you have to do a lot of guessing on some parts. Luckily, I use real-world images of the vehicle to figure out “what-goes-where”. I also noticed the front steering system is mostly plastic and prone to breakage, which means I have to fashion some parts out of either brass or steel in order to make everything somewhat functional.
This one’s gonna be a challenge, but I’m already committed.
Please remind me - which kit is that again?
Ah. The scribed panel lines threw me off. Thanks.
Looks good to me, top job👍
Finally a bit of time at the bench, so added parts to the hull of the Type 87-AW. Loads of tiny handles still to add and the PE screens but it’s time for a meeting with primer and get the wheels and lower hull painted first.
The Pfeil was a brave attempt at a high-speed bomber, capable of speeds approaching 500 mph.
Yours looks great, nice piece of modelling!
Not exactly in my modeling workshop, but still related- today I lent a helping hand to Scalemodelsclub Bulgaria for fitting the exposition hall of Sofia Scale Model Show 2025(Oct. 11-12th):

Today, masking and spraying…
had I looked closer at the painting instructions, I would have done some things in a different order but … oh well.. ![]()
![]()
Inside of wheel bays and landinggear in alluminium..
Than I noticed I should have done some black bits… ![]()
![]()
which I could have done much easier before adding landinggear etc.. ![]()
But it all worked ok in the end.. ![]()
Props, yellowtips: first a coat of XF4 followed by a coat of X8, worked on all my yellow bits sofar ![]()
So now she has gotten a gloss coat and is waiting for decals..
Very nice Bert. As a kid, I always wanted to build the Gunship version, AC119K I think. I preferred it to the bigger AC130.
Cheers
