Good morning all,
I have been doing an overall wash and pin washes to the Tiger I and also working on The SdKfz 234/4 from Mini art.
I went to actually start the washes on last Saturday. As soon as I started, i knocked over a full, opened bottle of Tamiya Brown panel liner. 5 minutes into the session!
Needless to say, i cleaned up and stopped.
I used Tamiya brown panel liner on the yellow parts , and Tamiya black liner parts on the green spots on the pin washes.
I did an overall brown wash on the kit , and added some black also , focusing more on the engine deck, rear superstructure and gun areas. It just needs a little clean up , before i seal it up.
I am thinking of a separate thread for the 234/4.
I like build threads on new kits.

Some progress on the M543 for Convoy 3. Frame in Vallejo US light green as a base colour for a MERDC finish. Panzer Art wheels on the Mikey Bugs hubs; some fettling but do-able.

Close to wrapping up a Tamiya Ferrari 310B .
Tabu decals for livery which work beautifully and Studio 27 for carbon fiber. The Studio 27 decals are terrible. Brittle , unresponsive to Micro Sol and the wraps for various struts not wide enough to go all the way round.

I spend a long evening with the used look of the ORNITHOPTER project. Nearly ready to complete the Cockpit and pull of the masking tape from the windows…

The last parts of the cockpit where some kind of difficult, that is a fiddly sector of the kit. I did it the wrong way 
.
But over all it’s okay i think.
Placing the ORNITHOPTER on a Diorama would be nice…

Spent the afternoon with wife and son in the hobby room reorganising the paint collection into a new set of pull-out drawers along with a spreadsheet index so hopefully I can find them when needed! No pics, but perhaps the most productive hours I’ve had in a long time…

Jeez! That’s some advanced thinking. I only recently bought a second paint shelf and organized my Tamiya acrylics in numerical order. I does help though, but I still have all the “active” bottles around my 12X12 building space.

When I got into the 1/700 scale U-boat, I also found this AR196 sea plane in that scale. The detail on the 3D printed resin is amazing! Makes it very easy to paint.

I’m doing nothing in my modelling workshop today, it’s in the non-daylight basement. There is a neighbourhood power problem and BC Hydro have the power out from 10.00 until around 15.00.
Consequently the hobby room and environs is as black as a Witches…..heart and totally out for today.
