I’ve been working on this Shelf of Doom project nearly all this month. The old Monogram SBD.
Yesterday I airbrushed on the flat coat…. Today was lots of little steps all day long… some final bits of detail painting such as the exhaust stacks and tail wheel… I took this tail fitting from my Hasegawa A-24 kit, which does not use the item.
Then I added some sway braces to the wing bomb racks, as well as later gluing the bombs in place and finally gluing the main landing gear wheels in place using some True Details resin wheels
After the glue had dried on those items, I removed the cockpit masking, exposing that area for the first time in many years
I then added some Kits World 3D decals seat harnesses to the pilots and gunners seats, as well as adding the rear canopy hoods into their open stowed position
Then lastly I did some bits of dry brushing, added the canopy and windscreen, the rear twin gun mount taken from the same Hasegawa A-24 (that kit is getting a single mount .30), and then I added the antenna line…
She is now all finished after all these years. I will get up a multi angle series of photos up in the appropriate finished section tomorrow or Monday. My first completion of 2026!
I am traveling and got a very small box of selected parts with me, doing the pre - work for two coming projects and the first little setup for the Steampunk pod racer .
Some hours of relaxed sanding and Test of the fit.
And build two wings of the Me 262 Revell Kit, i must have done 30-40 of them since 2023 …
Sprayed FS36170 on the Lightning II. It’s very much lighter than I’d expected, but also appears very different depending on the light. Can’t get a picture that really shows it.

Made a bit more progress with the Ju 88A-4 Torpedo Plane.
ICM supplies two nicely detailed Junkers Jumo 211 engines which when closed up in their cowls, they’ll never be seen again — really fun to build though.
Well, wife and I are done with our 7 month traveling spree, finally home, settled in and modeling again.
I was originally going to build this with the ROPS rollover protection system, but after fiddling around with styrene and solder I just couldn’t get it to look good.
So plan B is my old squadron sergeant majors vehicle from 1/3 ACR, circa 1986, in gray desert MERDC. He owned one or more convenience stores in El Paso, and their modo of sorts was a big yellow smiley face, and that’s what he had as his TAC sign mounted on his spare tire. So that’s where I’m going with this. Added doors, new bumper and side canvas from foil so far
Tried to build a dumpster for a diorama Im pretty happy with the results so far maybe some minor details like a couple holes, some dents and sanding the edges down to be slightly smoother.

I saw this on Temu for very little cost and was exactly what I had in mind. Nice to put together but a good dose of patience was needed. Pleased with the result for a little diorama in the making.
I have spend useless hours with the search for selected parts, they where lost in my workspace without any sinfull reason. I have placed them at complete surreal Location and had opened every box in reach to find them with success this morning .
