What did you do in your modeling workshop today?

Since Im waiting on a paint restock I decided to start building a bunch of kits BUT then I started this one and didnt expect it to be so complex. I thought it would just be a big truck with large parts… but nope.

Hi RB. Is that the BlackDog conversion set or the newer Trumpie wagon?

It’s idling - still waiting for the stars to align to take the photo at the location (when deserted), on an overcast day, when I don’t have anything else to do. Soon, I hope.

Yours looks excellent, especially the foil components – which tracks are you using?

A few more bits to add, plus replacing a lost lifting eye on the top of that rear offside spring assembly, then I think we will be ready for some paint.

More adjusting the tracks, color the small things and more weathering pending

Thanks, the kit components woud be impossible to use for the damaged parts. It was quite a flipping forth and back between various photos of the original vehicle (between the capture in Germany to the well known “cut out” photos for the public viewing) to determine the damage sustained and what parts to use and which not.

I will use the kit tracks which I successfully assemled already.

Ah, “Terry 1954” - the modeller who hides his light under a bushell!

Looking very good Terry, very good indeed; do crack on(!)

Thank you, Rocky; much appreciated!

Made me laugh, Brian. I’ll try to be less modest going forward, and of course, I am cracking on with the Ferret.

My main problem, is I am cracking on (slowly) with many builds!

Yes, I too am falling foul of my shotgun approach: ie too many projects on the go all at once. It sort of worked initially in that I produced 2 x M48s in fairly short order, then the M60 (plain vanilla) was going well too, but tangents have prevailed! In particular a Canadian Leo, “threaded” (new meaning for the word?) elsewhere!

I’m also struggling a bit recuperation-wise - the energy levels are running a bit dry(!)

I like it. Really nicely done. I think I would have toned it down a bit with some dust effects, but that’s just me.
