Added smokegrenade launchers, lights, sponsons and stuff on my Nagmachon…
Found a picture online…
And used that to detail the smoke launchers, and thought, hmm, maybe some smoke grenades had been launched…
I like it, as it is. Sure, dust can tone it down,
But the pictures as they are drew my attention. Well done.
I’m assuming you’re replying to me? Anyway, great model; I was completely unaware of it - that’ll keep me on my toes. Very impressive model indeed.
After three weeks without any time at the bench, promptly spilled MLT all over my latest project within five minutes of sitting down. ![]()
Maybe not a day for modeling…
That all looks like an awful task!! But, the results look great!

I took two semi-concurrent, almost finished projects out for some daylight photos:
Some of you might remember this. The kit provides material to make a dump truck, but, I thought the tow truck was more interesting. The project was almost done - it turns out I made the boom separate from the bed, and it required some unique paint work that I was hiding from
The stripe! The boom tilts, and the base has a few angles, so I had to think a bit about how to keep the line correctly oriented and taped off so the overspray wouldn’t bleed ![]()
And, as I enjoyed making this, I made another, but this time with more decrepitude, and detail work exposed:
The plan is to eventually get these into a dio, a scrapyard scene. This truck has a variety of details not provided in the kit, most prominently being the twin turbos (which are hard/impossible to see here
).
It’s almost hard to believe these are the same kit - neither looking like AMT/ERTL had likely expected
I’ll eventually add more images in the build post, but don’t have the time today. As I have been enjoying this, I’ll be adding a CAT D8H, converted to a D8K with ROPS, and just for fun, an Autocar truck.
Cheers

I haven’t said anything here in the Forum since I finished my Panther Tank. I am currently working on my Tamiya M41 Bulldog tank. I fully assembled the kit and I am currently in the process of priming and then painting the tank.
It is such a new experience. First time I have ever used an airbrush and I am all over the place but I slowly getting it. Maybe I will write about my experience in a new Topic.
My current small paint area setup is currently a mess with a lot of different thinner, flow improver and/ or cleaner. I had a hard time figuring out what works with what. But I think I figured it out ![]()
Welcome to the crazy world of airbrushing !
God help me, I started another one ![]()
The Academy M1A2 SEP V2, my old parts kit, so far so good, only missing the tow cables, found a drivers hatch for it and I hope that’s all I stole out of it
I’ve that one in the stash. looks like a great kit , nice sharp detail.
It is a nice kit, built one a few years ago.
As the most of you (I guess), I almost always have multiple projects at the same time going on, one of which is often a “just for painting” project, like a bust.
This time I dug my teeth in a 75mm 3D printed kit/set called “El Cid”, called after the famous Spanish commander. I bought it a couple of years ago and at the time it was marketed by Centurion Miniatures, thought it is no longer on their website. However, doing a Google Lens search gave several other options.
This is the set.
Since it’s a ancient movie it must have a beard by now ![]()
