I finished the tie downs and mounted the pump deck onto the carrier bed today.

The M2 fittings, hose reels, pump and connecting hoses should go on tomorrow. Then some final weathering and she’s done.

I’ve had a bottle of the original future for years but lost out siding my divorce. I’ve heard that this is the direct replacement for future and I’ve only used it once and had decent results with it. I’m sure some piddling around with the mixture and thinning ratio could make it better.

More work done on the Pakwagen this past week.

As stated in my last update, i am now working on the suspension pieces. Lot’s of small fiddly parts.

Ball joints and things.

It’s kind of scary, not because of their size, but i was more worried about the pieces lining up.

I’m taking slow and steady.

Building up the A arms and trans-axles, a multi piece affair.

Here I’m trying to find the easiest way to install them. I tried kind of pre building them, but i didn’t like that way. To clumsy.

I found installing the axle first onto the hull helps guide it together. Add the small brackets to the A arm and install on the hull.put the hub last. Hopefully the heights end up correct.( meaning correct ride height with all the tires).

I found that Tamiya Orange bottle cement works best on these pieces.

Much progress has me excited.

Got the hose reels, pump and hoses in place today, weathered the muffler and finalized the winch chain’s position. Some paint to do on the hose reels and a general inspection for any issues tomorrow, but then I think she’s done.
