This has not been that easy - because of the dramatic rear tire/wheel travel, the fender wells need to be pretty tall - but, I didn’t want to just make a “U” shaped box bed. So, into the scrap sprues I went and came up with this - and a side view:
I’m staying at my aunt and uncle’s place while visiting the country and he’s been letting me try airbrushing. I’ve done base coat on part of his Merkava and on a Grille (both 1:35). Then he did the red part of the camo on the Grille and I did the green. Now the next step is to do chipping, filters, etc…
(he also has that book, as well as tons of other books which he’s letting me borrow)
The Panzer IV F is still stuck waiting on that stencil. Decided to work on a Panzer IV H that was abandoned last year because I didn’t like the kit tow cable. Replaced the kit part with 3D printed TRex tow cable ends.
After gluing and clamping the wheels on permanently, I did a bunch of sanding on the tires to finally level-off the saucer’s stance. After that, it was twelve tire touch-up. And that brings us here.
The lower hull is masked after a small amount of black touch-up.
Next up: I’ll most likely paint the interior floor and wall areas. Then it’s time to begin re-fitting the mayhem which is the mechanical tower and carousel bomb loading system.
Wow, what a brilliant job you’ve done there. The paint job is excellent and the detailing is spot on. You’ve nailed it, very inspirational build. Bravo
Those Pzr IV’s are looking fantastic Angel. Great work mate. And the horses are coming along as well… and Wade @Armor_Buff … your IV’s are looking equally cool … love the cam on the last one and the dust/dirt effects on the earlier IV… really nice.
As per German law, Nazi symbols have to be blacked out or not shown/cannot be sold. THus, any art, especially of soldiers in uniform depicting such symbols are sharpied over in this shop. What I saw like that were SS tankers and Azov Battalion soldiers.
