I know, I know…got a Rubicon Jeep when I went to Hobby Lobby on Friday. Heading for a temporary drought so I have to ween myself off for bit.
I don’t understand. Lately, every time I say look what a good deal I got. I saved a ton. But, I get this look…
I think it might the weather. What do you guys thiink?
I don’t discuss purchases good, bad or otherwise with the wife. Years ago I was the contest vendor/raffle coordinator, so the running joke when asked “it’s for the contest”. Usual I hope to receive the package when she is away (benefits of working from home), open said package, quick photo for here, into the stash and dispose of the box before anyone (the daughter is a double agent) is the wiser.
Because I believe in fair play, I don’t ask about or make a fuss about other packages/items when shopping. She is a pre-school teacher so all sorts of things show up. You thought modelers were horders, teachers have us beat.
Herd that before
I picked this one up for a generous offer of only paying for shipping
Now I need to get a set of decals for it, as I have something quite specific in mind for this one…
Nice .
This is the second time I’ve gone to a model car show and come home with an airplane.
I think the Fates are trying to tell me something.
Jim
Yeah, I though that way as well but it didn’t last long…
New plastic just arrived from Bohemia, fresh and crispy, Eduard’s new P-51 … Shipping took just 3 days from CZE to GER
… again quite a big box …
… full of modelling happiness!
Picked up the new Airfix Liberator from my LHS a couple of weeks ago, only just got around to taking some photos today.
There’s a LOT of plastic in the box for your money and it looks great. Panel lines are crisp and not as deep as previous new tools. The interior parts are nicely done too.
Airfix have moulded the nose section and turrets on a separate sprue, so that’s a little clue that they have other variants planned. I’m guessing a D and almost certainly a Coastal Command boxing. I just hope that it all fits well to the fuselage pieces.
I think they’re onto a winner with this one.
Edited: accidentally added a photo of the cat that visits us.
Hope we see a build blog soon?
It’s calling out, but have a few things I want to get finished up first. Thinking about using the decals I have for Jimmy Stewart’s aircraft. That’s not to say the kits decals are not good. They chose a couple of good schemes for this one.
Stumbled across this on ebay - 0 bids and 3 minutes left in the auction. I couldn’t help myself! Decals look a bit iffy - they are taped to the window so we’ll see how that works.
Nice find,I built a few of those old Phantoms in the day
Since the Academy and Tamiya F-4Bs came out, the Hasegawa B’s can be found for better prices now.
