What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Received these today, I had ordered them in late November.

I first received a package from them a few weeks ago, but got masks for a Su-35 Flanker by mistake. Good on them to send me what I really ordered. I am pleased.

Some bedtime reading just arrived.

I picked up this nice pair of tankers from Verlinden. What I really like about them is that they are not wearing leggings so they can work fine to be paired with Korean War or early Cold War tanks. Not sure what I’ll do with them yet.

Takoms Grant CDL. One of those vehicles I have only seen in old grainy photos and never thought anyone would ever release.

And two sets of Panda Plastics Sherman tracks courtesy of @SSGToms . Cheers buddy!

That Grant CDL looks really cool! One day I need to get around to do the Shermie CDL…

This little gem arrived today from Sprue brothers!

Its the Hobby boss Leopard 2A6M Can! It looks like a great kit! The slat armor is looks good in thickness (Yes it know PE is way better) Also the detail looks really good and the PE is a nice touch. Its almost a shame I will be covering all the details with Barracuda…
I will be building it in the Canadian armed forces campaign for whoever interested!

Looks like a good kit. Is that ration boxes they’ve included as well?

The CDL looks to be a good kit. Certainly better than the only other Grant I ever built, Tamiya’s. Will have to do a bit of research into it though. Not a vehicle I know much about. One of my modelling goals is to build a small collection of Hobart’s Funnies. This kit gives me hope that we will eventually see a mainstream kit of the Sherman Crab!

Yes the Ration boxes are included.
I hope you do a blog for the CDL when you get around to it!

Yes there is a printed card for ration boxes inside as well Stephen. It is an old kit but a good one. Only down side is you really need to push some epoxy putty into the back of the packs and tarps, etc, as they are traditional hollow back Tamiya …

and you get a couple of small dogs too - just sniffing under the decal sheet in the pic above…

Just haven’t worked out where they get tied down on the vehicle :joy:

Tie a leash to the front tow hook and have the tank walking the dog. :joy:

Some very fiddly card modelling needed there!

I do like it when you get surprising little extras. Remember in a of Dragon Afrika Korps figures, there was a little lizard!

Is that approved by the ASPCA?

Better then my first thought of using the rear tow hooks. :man_facepalming:

Stalingrad miniatures Russian figures, RB models 2 cm Flak 38 L/65 metal barrel, and 50 2cm shell casings. I’ll be using all of these with my flak panzer IA in a diorama, just waiting on a dead German soldier figure, but I’ll start this build tomorrow

Looks like a good haul! Cant wait to see the build.

Reminds me of National Lampoons Vacation:

“Poor little guy. Probably kept up with you for a mile or so.” “Tough little mutt…”
